Hey guys, I'm trying to do a coteaz conversion and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get either a hawk or an eagle model, preferably in a pose with it's wings stretched out as if it is in flight.

you can try sculpting one yourself, you mabye even use pre-existing wings from a blood angel/dark angel kit for that purpose, and you can use the head from the SM chainsword handle.. all you need are a tail, the body and legs, which i think are not too hard to do in greenstuff...

and all the GS geeks will think your BOSS!!!

How about modifying the raven flock of Dark Eldar?

I agree with the suggestion of using a Razorwing. I'm not that familiar with non-GW products, so the only plastic birdy I can think of is the hawk in the Bretonnian knights box. It's wings are held at its side though, but if you felt up to making some outstetched wings for it, then it might do.

I used a DE razorwing for my conversion (which is based off an old metal SM commander model ).

It sits perched upon his Inquisition icon on his backpack (Icon stolen from the Inquisitor scale Inquisitor Tyrus). The second head was GSed.

I got the razorwing off a clubmate. You got four in the blister, but the swarm only has three wounds anyway, so he used three of them per base and gave me a couple of single ones.

if you manage to have it sit on his shoulder i think it will be a bad ass centerpiece though, and a big eagle like cortez is holding should have some wingspan to get it off the ground!

There is a hawk on the arm of the Njal Stormcaller model in power armor with it's wings spread out. I got one being used as a Chooser marker right now. Would suck to have to buy it just for the bird, but might find a SW player willing to split costs for a cheap rune priest model.

Not to nitpick, but that isn't a hawk, it is a raven ( a cyber-raven to be exact).

A raven's head/beak are distinctly different from that of a hawk/eagle.

Hey thanks for all the help guys, my idea is to make a converted coteaz becuase I'm not really a fan of him just have a giant eagle just chiling on his arm. So the reason I wanted one with speard wings was so I could model it flying above him, so I think I'm going to go the razorwing flock since I cant use GS to save my life lol
