I'm going to be honest...I am really not digging the metallic theme, especially for a Space Wolf army.

Metallics work really well for Chaos SM armies, but, even as somebody who doesn't even play SW, I really am not a fan of straying far from the standard chapter colors.

That being said, the paint job looks a little flat. It's hard to highlight with a metallic paint job, but if you use a little silver and white to lighten up the blue, you can do a little bit of highlighting.

Was thinking a boltgun metal or silver highlight.

Maybe a slight drybrush of spacewolves grey to bring it closer to codex too.

Just wanted to try something different

I believe if you were to use the metallic blue on the sword, and use the standard chapter colors would bring a better output. Even if you highlight with the space wolf grey over the metallic it will look a little odd seeing it would be a flat color over a shiny color. But not bad for thinking outside of the box, main thing is if you like it, who cares what others thinks. This is your army and figures.

Try the blue washes instead of mixing silver in with the blue. If you mix the silver in with the blue you gotta go way lighter on the blue. If you nail the color it could look good on a sw. Good luck mate!

Here's how I do my Wolf Standard Marines. I just mixed up Mythril Silver and Asurmen Blue. It's pretty subtle but when he stands with the rest of my Grey Hunters you can really see the difference but he still looks like he belongs.
