Devastating Dark Reaper

Hi
I am looking for a 28mm second world war game. I would like it to be able to use maybe a couple of platoons/company (so not a skirmish game). I would also like it a lot of the theatres of war were covered (ie eastern front, normandy/france, pacific).
Are there any rules that fit all these criteria? Or am I being a bit picky?
Either way thanks for the help

Kampfgruppe: Normandy seems to be growing in popularity, it would definitely be worth a try. I know Big P plays it with 20mm miniatures, but I'm sure it would work with 28mm too.
Nuts! is more of a skirmish game, but you could probably play with a couple platoons worth if you wanted to. Disposable Heroes would also work at that level.

Victory Decision is also somewhat built for 28mm. It says it allows platoon sized or more. Seems to cover a lot of the war too

Not many will give you all the periods in one book...
Disposable Heroes will require the books for the different armies in addition to the rules. Not a bad game but bogs down a little once above platoon level. Didnt have much period feel for me.
Rules of Engagement seems popular and has good coverage in the main rules and plenty online. Not played it so dont know.
Victory Decision is a reworking of the old Mongoose set. Not played it either so cant comment on the gameplay. You will need additional books but they do come with nice photowork and in PDF.
KGN will work in 28mm but you would need to increase the ranges... Warwick's blog had stuff on that. Only covers Normandy though...
You may want to wait till August for the release of 'Bolt Action' from Warlord Games and Osprey, but again it will be main rules plus army books.

Ive been playing Rules of Engagement and have been really enjoying it. It has a great pace as the rules are very streamlined and efficient with few tables to consult. The rules are realistic thus it is fun for those who study military tactics to apply said tactics and the use of silly stereotypically special rules are very minimal.
The developers Great Escape Games are always on the forums to answer questions and are always releasing free orders of battles for practically every nation and they are all extensively tested by the community. They just updated their website the other day here is a link http://www.greatescapegames.co.uk/

I would reccomend Force on Force http://ambushalleygames.com/ It has a very adaptive rule set, that can be from WW2 to the modern day, and they since they don't have their own line of minis. They have rules in the main book for any scale (people typically use hobby shop models) you choose to 15mm, 20mm, or in this case 28mm etc.. IIRC they were are going to release a few books for WW2 http://ambushalleygames.com/products/store/product/show/cid-17/name-force-on-force/category_pathway-0
