Is it worth giving the sergeants in my squads lightning claws so I have at least one model striking at I rather than last? I really like how tough hammernators are so I want to keep a higher hammer ratio just curious on whether I should even bother with the claws or just go with all TH/SS.

It really depends who you are fighting. Obviously if you are fighting an army like orks or nids go with LC, but if you fight MEQ with AP1/2 weps and a lowish model count the invul save is useful. Always have a CML

There are plenty of people in both camps and Billagio pretty much has the reasons covered. I personally prefer to have at least one LC termi in each squad for a take all comers list, two if I think I can get away with it. It helps to mitigate getting swamped by hordes, Which as a Nid player, is one of my favorite ways of dealing with TH/SS termis.

Well I play on a regular basis. Eldar (Mech), Space Wolves (Mech), Orks (Greentideish), Vanilla Marines (Assault Marine Heavy), GKs (Draigowing). I was thinking having the single lightning claw at least gives me the ability to kill some orks before they strike. Plus I have CML in every squad and have 2 LRCs and sometimes run 2 dreads with LC/AC and ML. No not all at once different variations. I like fluff lists that is why I have no typhoons. As we have recently started playing the Bay Area open mission styles just to make the games more interesting having a lower troop count doesn't entirely kill the army as long as I can get KPs which I have not found to be too difficult thus far. Maybe run a 4x LC squad with a single hammer and an interrogator chap with them to throw at blob squads. Rerolling hits and wounds would be pretty nice. Against the other armies I wasn't sure if having the LCs would be beneficial or not. I know TH/SS are a paladin nightmare because of the fact that they will ID them. I planned on rolling with a terminator Libby to have a chance to nullify hammerhand etc.
