Does it work you think,Firewarrior top Eylsian legs?
I see the Tau outfitting them in pretty much the same gear.
The Sergeant would be Full Blood Tau w/ Gun Drones to keep these guys honest.

Did something similar with my Tau, I did a 10 man squad of human auxiliary and officers. I used the FW IG heads with masks and used the IG legs and Tau torsos.

Looks really cool, you might want to model a few without the helmets on to really hammer the 'human' thing home.

Also, how cost effective is this/ what are you doing with the rest of the elysians?

To be honest I didn't even notice the human legs until the comments, I even painted about 20 Firewarriors myself.

The only nitpick would be that they've got fewer fingers than a human. But that's so incredibly minor...

Looks good, and more importantly, believable.

I am personally not a fan of this, simply because the top is armour plate with cloth, and the bottom is cloth with armour plate.

Yeah you did,nut to me that is why it kind of works.
It is like carapiece armor.

I do cut a groove to make an extra finget,but would I really have to do that,would'nt the Tau have bionic glovesthat simulate tau finger to better use thier weapons or just call them mittens and be done with it.

I have an Elyisan Army check out my Merican Lancers Thread,so I amnot buyin Elysian just for this,but a way to use up 10 spares in a cool way

My only problem is with the head. The smaller legs make the helmeted head look way too gigantic.

What I would do is to go get a box of regular firewarriors, and have just straight-up firewarriors be the sergeants, and then find some way to do basically exactly what you've done, but swap them for different heads for the rest of the squad.

That way not only will the models look a little better balanced, but it will help reinforce the idea that these are tau auxiliaries, rather than tau proper. Lots of heads you could do, and even cadians would work, but I'd actually be more tempted to go to a biz store and get catachan heads to put on them, as they have more of a "rebel" feel to them.

It's not just the head. The arms are bigger than their legs, which gives them a bit of a gorilla-like aspect.

I would go with the Elysian arms, by preference.

Ok the first one did'nt work,like said the preportions were off
Looked like someone entered Bighead code to him and his arms were as thick as his legs.
What did work was the torso and legs,Tau torsos are almost the same exact size as Elysians.
So I decided to use the regular arm and somehow swap the lasgun for the Pulse Rifle.
I saw where I could clip a bit off of both rifles and combine them into something badass with the addition of a HW targeter.
I used the Comms head because it has more tech on it and added Tau antenne to the right side.
Now he works,Now I will make 8 more plus Firewarrior Sgt.
I do want to try to add optics to the next head.

The legs look quite small compared to the upper-body imo!

I agree with Reality-Torrent they seems a bit disproportionate

There ya go. That looks much better. My only thing I'd improve is to reduce the height of the scope so that it sits down closer to the rifle. I might also consider moving it back some and cleaning the top where the scope is right now with a touch of GS.

In any case, this certainly looks like a tau auxiliary. Nicely done.
