I have been thinking about starting a new WHFB army as my DE and daemons are getting rather boring. Due to having to transport my armies I seems to spend most of my time repairing metal models or jumping up and down on Finecast ones (I gave GW a chance as I thought resin was a good idea, after having more then 50% of my Finecast models break in either transit or in use I will no longer be buying them)
So on to the point of this post, I am looking into starting an army that can purely be made from GW plastic models,
Rule are:
Kit bashing is allowed.
No non GW models
No green stuffing.

Pics of kit bashes would be cool.......

Empire seem to be the closest to a full plastic option except for the witch hunter model and High Elves minus the eagles

you can probably do it with warriors of chaos. all the core choices are plastic, the knights are plastic and you can make chaos orges from ogre kingdoms with conversion work. make dragon ogres from cold one bodies and ogre torso's. in rare you have giants that are plastic, you can make a shaggoth from steg bodies and giant upper halves. spawns are plasticfor a hellcannon you could use the old armorcast cannon of khorne that is one giant peice of resin.( armorcast was a subsidary of GW when it was still making titans, just like forgeworld is now) for heros you can use the older 6th edition warriors as they were multi part torso, body arms and pose several different ways. they have a plastic tzeentch lord. can also kit bash with Daemon's plasitcs if you want. kinda hard to do stuff without green stuffing anything... im sure anything nurgle is out of the running if green stuff is not allowed.

You can also do Empire, Vampires Counts (all of the vampires are Finecast but there is a plastic wight king and necromancer) and Daemons.

If you are having trouble with models breaking, I would look into buying a case for them. My suggestion would be Battlefoam or Sabol. They both make good cases and my models have never broken or fallen apart in them.

Orcs & Goblins, insofar as they can be "competitive", could be done all-plastic. You wouldn't have War Machines, but could still have:
Any Core choice

Black Orcs, River / Generic Trolls, and any Boar Boy / Chariots variety from Special, possibly Snotlings too depending on how many leftover mini-gobos you have from assorted kits.

Giant & (Kitbashed) Snotling Pump Wagon

Pretty much any non-Special Character (Shamans requiring extra conversion, though)

I think Empire can do a mostly / all plastic competitive army too, WoC as well if you don't mind conversions and no Hellcannons / Demonic Mounts.

No but you can convert all the characters out of the plastic RnF.

All our character models are finecast now too.

Empire has plastic characters too(General and Wizards)

Empire is trivial. Looking over it, my planned Empire army is all plastic, and I wasn't remotely considering that as a factor when I designed the army.

Empire or Ogres are probably the easiest. Orc and Gobbos might work too if you ignore their artillery.

Change and change until Change is our master, for nothing neither God nor mortal can hold that which has no form. Change is the constant that cannot be changed.

No game of chess can be won without pawns, and this may prove to be a very long game.

With Isle of Blood, High Elves can be done all plastic. You'd only have to convert up a BSB and Prince, if you decided to take either of them. All of the competitive options save Sword Masters are in plastic, and even then those are from IoB.

There is a general/bsb kit. Only eagle is not metal.

It's also possible to do dwarves, as long as you're alright with forgoing the grudge-thrower, anvil, and lord on shield-bearers. You can convert up just about any kind of character from plastic warriors and quarrelers. That's honestly where most of the conversion work is going to be, if you Really want to stay clear of all of the metals and finecasts.
I've been having decent luck with using plastic longbeards instead of hammerers for much the same reason ( broke college student can't build reasonably sized units at 5$ a head)
The cannon, organ gun, and the missile troops are all just straight plastic.

Hope that helps.

Everyone of my armies are or could be 100% plastic.

I have VC, Ogres, HE, DoC, Skaven, TK, Empire, Beastmen, O&G, LM,

There is no army that can't be made without some imagination and work. the no greenstuff rule will hinder you a bit but that's up to you. I rarely buy any of the character models (there's no reason to pay a n 800% markup for a character when you can build your own easier and cheaper)

My warriors of Chaos army is completely plastic except for one of my exalted heroes. I think it's quite possible to build a competitive army that is all plastic.

Skaven are very easy to do in all plastic, especially with IoB providing plastic warlord/chieftain and warlock engineer models. The screaming bell kit provides a plastic Grey Seer and a plastic Plague Monk all in one box. Core are all available in plastic except rat swarms (which are terrible anyway), but rat swarms can be made by getting a few spare 40mm bases and using the small rats found on the Plague Monk and Clan Rat sprues. Giant Rats are plastic already also.

Globadiers and Jezzails just went finecast, but both rarely see use in lists (well, lists that aren't terrible like mine anyway). Gutter Runners can easily be made from the Night Runner plastic box, as can assassins. (the metal sculpts all look near enough anyway!) Plague Censor Bearers are metal, but can be converted fairly easily from the Plague Monk kit, using the normal body, flails and censors found there. Rat Ogres are already in plastic as well...

Rares, everything is plastic now.

So yeah, other than the Vermin Lord, everything is either available in plastic/finecast, or is convertable from existing plastic kits.

Edit: I've seen some pretty good Vermin Lord conversions from the chaos daemon prince kit, btw. Finding a good head is the hardest part.

hmmm its possible to do a brettonian all plastic army as grail and questing knights are easily converted. Pegasus knights are in plastic already and ive seen a good HE men at arms conversion for damsels.
Only thing left out are the grail reliquay (pilgrims can be converted with empire state toops and men at arms)
And the trebuchet

May your chest inspire the hopes and dreams of millions.
May your arm girth frighten the elderly, slow moving adults and very small children.
May your gains be plentiful.
Go forth and LIFT.
