Havent seen too much ba raven lists. The ones i seen usually feature at least one blood talon dread

My experience with ig vendettas is they tend to get targeted first and can go down pretty quick. Vendettas can scout move for a cover save going second or if you have to reserve the astropath gives you plus one to reserves. What do you do with your ravens going second?

Exactly, the dual role for the Speeders is better.

Moreover, a tl mm is gorgious when the Raven goes flat out and comes into range of an enemy tank.

I was planning to deep strike in the speeders if going second. I was designing it as a reserve list where everything had an immediate impact when they came available from reserves. It should handle mech pretty well with all the TL Las and bloodstrikes. I thought the plasma cannons would be better than MM in this list to help deal with elite assault troops and they are pretty good against transports too because you don't have to get into your opp. melta threat range in order to get good shots on chimeras or rhinos.

I really want to play 3 ravens. I could easily cut mephy and a couple points for 2 blood talon dreads and have really thought about it but I'm just not sure. I'm not sold that the speeders wouldn't be better as something else, just not sure what else. I do like the troops section and the 3 ravens I just have to figure out the supporting elements.

Sorry man, you can't take a TL Lascannon, TL PC raven. Those are interchangable options. On the raven nose you can take a MM/HB/Typhoon Launcher.....no plasma...

Other than that I love fliers and think this would be a fun list. As for a competative build, the ravens would most likely go down quickly. If you were to add more razorbacks instead of the 9 man assault squad you could saturate more armour and increase the odds of your ravens. As it is, 6 pieces of armour at 2000 is pretty low. Also, you need 10 ASM to take 2 melta guns.

He lists the Sgt's separately from the regular troopers...it caught me off guard as well.

@jsut2fierce The biggest issue I see is that even though you have 3 Storm Ravens, your opponent's target priority is the same as if you only brought 1 SR. Mephiston in a SR, combat squad in a SR, and combat squad in a SR. Not a very hard choice to decide which one to bring down. I think you need at least one more scary unit to be transported to make it a tougher decision.

Also the 6 man unit in the Razorback is odd. Drop one guy and use the points elsewhere.
