Robin Fitton's 15mm SF Gruntz rules have been out for a year now and are about to go into version 1.1 with revised points values etc.

The game is centred around using the unit creation system to make unit cards for your existing mini collection. This can get a bit involved as you need to work out the points cost and then lay out a unit card, so I've teamed up with Robin to develop a unit/army builder program for Mac and Windows. As software development can be a risky business at the best of times, we've gone for a crowdfunding route to pay for the development time.

I'd like to do a web or mobile version at some stage down the line, but that has a whole different set of development issues...

The Gruntz game basically takes concepts from the underlying system of Warmachine/Hordes and frees them from the combo/special rule craziness that dominates Privateer's game. The lack of a warcaster/spells/feat/synergy approach makes it more of a traditional wargame.

Guard = DEF
Soak = ARM
Skill = MAT/RAT

Instead of loosing a system when all the boxes are filled in, you check for criticals and see which system goes when a critical box is filled in.
