If a squad with this rule fails morale and is then caught by sweeping advance it says the squad is subject to no retreat! rule. No retreat rule says take number of saves lost combat by and the squad doesn't fall back.

So, even though Space Marines have failed morale, they instead do not fall back and stay locked in combat?

Yes. And this is why I don't like ATSKNF. It makes them immune to a ridiculous rule that kills every other non-fearless unit.

If they fail morale and are caught, then yes they remain locked in combat as if they were fearless instead.

If they are not caught, then they flee as normal and need to be outside of 6" of your units to regroup.

The marines pay good points for that rule, compared to other units.

OP: as others have said. that is correct, they stay locked and have to take additional saves from No Retreat.

So, even though Space Marines have failed morale and been caught via Sweeping advance, they instead do not fall back and stay locked in combat?
Underlined is my addition.
Yes, it works exactly like that. But if they fail morale and enemy loses the Sweeping Advance, they fall back normally, as others have said.
