Total - 400

Rough Riders*10, flamer - 105

Total - 995

That's 113 bodies, 13 lascannons, 10 meltaguns and some rough riders for counter-charging good times.
Against AV 12 the lascannons give 6.3 hits (one is BS4), 1 glancing, 3.15 penetrating. Pretty cool.
And the meltaguns mean <12" is dangerous for even AV14.
Thinking of possibly scrapping the CCS since it'll be targetted early, and getting a Commissar Lord for a Ld10 bubble (useful for PCS orders and morale checks).
What say dakka?

Ever thought 40k would be a lot better with bears?

I think a Lord Commissar is a smart move. Otherwise, this would wreak everything in it's path! O.O If you were facing Eldar or other light infantry/tanks, you could switch over to autocannons and that would also flatten everything in sight!

It looks pretty solid, maybe a little boring. I think the biggest threats would be mean assault units multicharging you and artillery blasting away out of hiding.

Fun and Fluff for the Win!

Sure, I guess.

I'd drop something so that you could take at least one commissar per platoon. As it is, you're sort of boned in KP games. Yeah, they only count as one KP if they combine, but they're still a single close combat away from running off the board with like half your models.

Plus, I'd be afraid that this list runs the risk of getting tabled by high-offense armies. For example, I could see a drop pod or DoA list showing up and sweeping everything off the board in just a couple of turns, as both close combat and morale (and especially morale in close combat) are serious weaknesses of this list.
