I picked up the Cygnar battlegroup yesterday, cracked it today and had a peek. I got the models open and then realized that theres no instructions on how and where bits go. I'm doing alright looking at the picture on the box, but the shield arm on the lancer has me scratching my head...did I get a dud pack?

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Unfortunately this is normal. the blisters and old boxes I've gotten have a vague assembly guide but the newer boxes and old warpack I've gotten had no guide. actualy the 'jacks may have had a generic one but arms were guess and check.

If you're ever stumped about what piece goes where on a model, you can always go check on PP's website in the gallery. Pretty much every model now has a 360* view of it that you can rotate to check how it's assembled

Yeah this is a pain, hopefully their big complex colossi come with instructions next month.

You'll probably want to pin anything made of metal though.

We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That's as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.

I don't play Cygnar, so I don't know how the Lancer assembles, but what's your problem with the shield arm? Maybe we can help you out.
Also, if you post in the Miniatures forum on the PP forums, maybe with a pic or two, they can also be really helpful.

Generally, most warjacks are pretty self-explanatory to assemble, just go with the box picture if you need reference. What I'd advise most is to make sure your warjacks' hip pieces are oriented the right way.

The lancer's arm has the upper portion with the shoulder coupling, the cuff piece for the elbow joint, the forearm plus fist, the shield brace, and the shield itself.
The shield attaches to the back of the forearm by that brace piece so I suggest attaching the brace to the shield first, then the shield to the arm. The elbow can be a little tricky to position since the joint is three pieces.

P.S. be sure to use super glue, plastic glue won't melt that kind of plastic due to the different chemistry.

I use PP's glue and find it works better than my GW glues that I got rid of. Assembling PP models I find I have to pin, and alter things a lot more often to make the stay or fit for that matter. I've bought packs that once I open them are missing parts more frequent than in GW products. However I like the models a lot better than GW's and the game system rocks so I put up with it.
