So here's my current 1000 points of Crimson Fists. I don't have my codex on me, since I'm overseas, but it roughly comes out to 1000 points.
Pedro Kantor, 10 Sternguard Veterans with 4 combi-weapons, in a rhino.
10 Tactical Marines
10 Tactical Marines
Dreadnaught with TL-LC, ML.
So, for me hop-up to the 1500 point level, Rhinos for the Tactical Marines was a must. I may be able to fit them in now, but I'm not going to be buying, building, and painting those until at least next summer, since I don't want the distraction in the middle of the semester. With that aside, I was thinking maybe some bike squads, to fill up that fast attack slot? Or maybe another Dread or two, or a Dread and Pred? Questions, comments?

i would add 3 thunde fire cannons they will tak ecare of all horde armies as well as any light transports. Also fi you put your tacs in ruin sthey now have a 3+ cover save and 2+ if they go to ground. I would also add 2 razorbacks with lascannons so you have some long range power

I'm gonna have to say no to the Razorbacks. If I'm taking Razorbacks, I'm gonna be putting something in them, but generally, Codex TAC squads don't do well in 5-6 man units. If I were to do that with Devastators, that could be an interesting HS choice, but then again, Devs get expensive quick.
As for three Thunderfires, just from watching them on the table I can tell you that's overkill. No reason to buy three of them in a 1500 point game. One will suffice. MAYBE two, if I knew I was playing against a serious green-tide or nid list.

Okay, you'll have to drop a sternguard if Kantor is riding with them in the rhino. Also, since you're raising the list to 1500, add in two more sternguard squads of 5-6 men in lasorbacks to lend assistance to the squad you already have.

Alright, that works out. Well. But what about HS? I'd rather not rely on one LC/ ML Dread and two LC Razorbacks for all my Heavy Support.

Like mentioned above, add in a thunderfire cannon for support. Any up close AT will be with the Sternguard's Combi-Weapons, right?

Or maybe speeders? I find something nice and fast, even if there aren't many of them, can throw an opponent off. There's a technique in Aikido called Atemi, which is basically, a light, fast strike, meant to distract and disorient rather than actually harm... But I digress.

Well, since you'd be beefing this army up to 1500, you'd have two 5-6 man squads of sternguard to back up the rhinoguard already in there; that's another 6-8 combi-weapons. If you want fast attack, add in Land Speeders with Multi-Meltas, that will help tank hunting if this is IG list. Also, give those tactical squads flamers as well. You'll need something to cleanse the field of guard after the vehicles are gone.

Well, I'm not really tailoring this for one enemy as much as trying to capitalize on versatility. That's why I suggested the AC/ LC pred, and was loath to splurge on three TFCs.

Still, Kantor allows Sternguard to capture objectives, which means you now have more claiming units. Tacticals should be upgraded with some special weapons at least (they can take flamers and standard heavy weapons for free!) along with giving the sergeants some special weapon as well. The dreadnaught seems out of place, and you can replace it with laspredators. Just make it so everything is either in a vehicle or skimming around annoying the enemy while the vehicles slowly move forward as one (so the enemy can't pick you off one by one or overwhelm you).

Pedro in a Drop Pod with 10 Sternguard, 2 Meltas, and 4 combiPlas. Maybe a PW or PF for the Sgt. In a recent game it took 3 squads of Avengers, 2 squads of Dragons, and a Fire Prism to get them in 5 turns. A techmarine, or Lysander to buff their terrain would have made them even better.

Hi there! I play Crimson Fists often and some of my lists looks a little bit like the ones suggested here. I'll add one for you to think about:
HQ

This comes in at 1375, leaving you with enough points to play around. Personnally, I would add a Vindicator or Rifleman dreadnought (2 x twinlinked autocanon) for added armor and to mess with your opponent's target priority. Be wary though, since you don't have razorbacks, the two Preds are your only real long range threat - you'll have to protect them in the first couple of turns, either by shielding them with other vehicles/terrain or with a distraction (2 sternguards rhino followed by a Vindicator is a nice distraction).

Hi,
like others im also CF player.
To your 1500pts list.
Pedro is nice HQ, I use him but in 1750pts and more, sterns become scoring with him so use this, I always use 1 full tac squad with flamer and MM on foot, as second troop option i use 5 scouts with snipers or 6 tac in TLLC razorback.
Always have 2 full sterns squads with some combiweapons in rhinos or in drop pods, if in drop pods sometimes combat squad them after landing.
Vets are elites so maybe some dread isnt bad support to them, maybe ironclad if you will use drop pods, as fire support rifle dread is good choice.
As fast attack i use attack bikes with MM, only ABs, dont take normal one, AB is 2 wound model with nice cover.
Heavy support - TFC isnt bad against horde, but its very fragile, only armor 10, I use predators with HBs sponsons.

I'm going to have to say, I like the jpwyrm's list the best out of those offered, since it has a very nice blend of anti-hoard, anti-infantry, and anti-armor. What do you guys think of getting a Land Raider for Pedro and his Sternguard? Just throwing the idea in there. I know the LR costs 250, so that leaves me 250 more for... the Sternguard razorbacks? More tactical marines? Scouts?
