right so here we go, this is bound to go slightly wrong so bear with me

i recently bought myself two armies over the course of about, let's say, 6 months. but it has taken me ages to paint them, mainly through lack of motivation, but hopefully i can rectify this through the use of a blog!

http://flic.kr/p/bW6Ff3

i'll start off with this image too see if it works. this is my grand painting desk (grand to me... )

i started using the new paints range from citadel for my ogres. all i can say is that they are fantastic, i absolutely love em. probably even more than my vallejo's....

once i can figure out how to post the pics up without sending you away fromn the website, can anyone help me!!?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
right i'll have t make do with the links, no option to take the image code in flickr. which is incredibly annoying...

here's my firebelly, i'm quite chuffed how he has come out, considering i'm an average painter the fire isn't perfect, but it might benefit from some yellow glazes or something.

a close up of the fire

my converted Disturbed lead singer look-a-like BSB bruiser

http://flic.kr/p/bW6FhN
the raiders/ravagers/razorwing, i sprayed these black then airbrushed them vallejo intermediate blue. i'm trying to make them The wraithkind colour scheme without doing the usual 'black - now highlight with a colour of choice' method i see a lot of.

http://flic.kr/p/bW6FhY
a close up of the skin. not the best i know, but i good try i think

http://flic.kr/p/bW6PjS
this is how i want tyhe rest of the raiders looking, bar the wrack ones

http://flic.kr/p/bW6PjY
the jewels

http://flic.kr/p/bW6Pk3
i have actually highlighted the eyes for a glowing effect, but the light makes it look like i haven't

this guy is just chuffed to be doing something with his life, even though he misses the majority of the time..

another shot of the hull markings.

that's all for now

Hey there
I'd really like to see your models, but when I click on these links yahoo asks me to create an account..... -_-
also, most people don't like to look at links to images, we all prefer it if you post the pics directly. to do that, right-click the image you want to sahre and choose "view image". Then copy the url.
then you do this:

LOOK!! a shameless self-promotion! (gasp!)

Thanks MrMerlin, indeed that must be annoying having a link, especially one that doesn't work! but thanks for the time to tell me how to do it, i'll remember that one next time!

right, round two lol

here is my desk with some of the things i'm working on

here's my firebelly also, my Ogres are using the new paints, first time i have used them too.

my own converted brusier bsb, i need green stuff to finish it off though

the rest of my Wraithkind kabal raiders/ravagers, primed black then airbrushed with vma intermediate blue

eventually they will all have a similar flavour to this raider with the runes on the hull and the jewels painted

hopefully in the future i will try and find out how to make the pics bigger, although they look much better shrunk! also the driver/gunner eyes are highlighted white, unfortunatley the sunlight hides this.

thanks for reading (and putting up with a Flickr newb )

Hm... I can see them if I press quote and copy the url..... but for some reason they won't show up in your post, even thoug they are supposed to....
Try uploading them to the dakka gallery if nothing else works....

anyway, I really like your painting style! The images are a little small, but the models look great!

Edited because of poor grammar....
