Charged my Stegadon into a unit of Ogres last night, before I GOT TABLED BY THEM

Opponent says that MONSTROUS infantry immune to stomp because in the stomp rules it says: (PAGE 76 BRB)

"on one enemy infantry, war beast or swarm unit" NOT MONSTROUS INFANTRY


How can a War Beast take stomps but not an Ogre

I thought infantry classification encompassed INFANTRY even monstrous infantry

How do Lizardmen players do this?

Warbeasts are things like wolves.

Ogres are, well, ogres.

An ogre is much bigger than a wolf, which is why there is a certain "sense" to it.

Anything that can itself stomp, cannot be stomped or thunderstomped. (Yes, I know cavalry cannot stomp and also cannot be stomped. I was just trying to point out that if something is big enough to perform a stomp, it is of comparable enough size to not be stomped upon.)

Only Infantry, Warbeasts, and Swarms can be stomped. If its not one of those 3 unit types, it cannot be Stomped or Thunderstomped.

The Stomp special rule is quite clear on this point.

Yah, stomp/thunder are inclusive not exclusive. Unless you are one of the unit types listed, you can't be stomped.
