Behold my current project (not that there's much to behold at this point): A Work in Progress Chaos Pact team for Blood Bowl with a distinctly Slaanesh theme. I'm actually painting and converting this team for my wife, who's started to express an interest in the game. Chaos Pact isn't a great time for new players though, so she'll be using my Human team until she get's a good grasp of the game. And in the meantime, if she decides she's not interested in the way a Chaos Pact team plays? Bonus! New team for me then. And Kudos for painting one for dearly beloved. Win:Win scenarios. Canny beat them.

This is a speed paint. Alas, I spend too much time painting for other people to devote much time to non-paying projects these days.

First up, here's the test figure, the team captain. She's the only mini on the team that won't need any conversion work (although I have my eye of a female skaven miniature that might not need any work either) so she's the first one to be painted

The entire mini has been painted in a retro, 1980's Slaaneshi colour scheme using (as much as possible) original 1980's Citadel paints. That pink is older than some of the guys I game with! I tell you, when I was a nipper, paint were proper paint. None of this dryin in the pot nonsense! Yes that a Khorne symbol painted pink. Seriously, can you think of a better way to deface Khorne's symbol?

Contractual profile shot.

Her "good" side.

The fact that this Dark Elf's hair is exactly the same colour as the customer's is entirely not coincidental. That being said, I'm not entirely happy with her loincloth. The mini's that is. The wife's looks just fine. Well chuffed with everything else though.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I'm never claimed to be much of a sculptor, which is why I don't offer sculpting services as part of my day job. However, I decided I would at least need to give it a go on this project.

Here's a WIP shot of my Female Troll conversion for the team:

I'm quite pleased with his gal nonetheless. After all, her breasts might not look like any womans' I've ever seen, but then, this lass is a manky troll! You'd expect her to be a little malformed. Wouldn't you?

What's that in her hand you're asking? If not, you ruddy well should be! Well let me ask you a question in return. What's the best way to make sure a Blood Bowl Troll doesn't eat one of it's team-mates? Give it some fungus to snack on. No doubt (given that this is a Slaanesh team we're talking about here) this is a particularly groovy, enchanted type of mushroom. But there you go. Maybe the mushroom will stop her eating any friendly goblins?

I also did some work on his wrappings. Manky furs look okay on most Trolls, but the gals from the rest of the team would insist on something a little more stylish, even for a Slaaneshi troll. So I had a go at sculpting some cloth over the furs as well. Not entirely happy with the results. More practice needed. Much more.

Blood Bowl fans know better than to enter any competitions promising an evening's dining with the Salacious Throng's most well-endowed female player.

Just finished painting the team's female Chaos Troll, Groinchewer.

Cool, I'm thinking of starting a team myself soon. Is that a BB pitch they are standing on? It looks like hexes

It's hexes from a company called Hexon

It's a great way to store your board. They basically come in groups of six hexes that stack for storage. I pretty much use them everytime a miniature needs photographed.
