I played a game against skaven yesterday and came upon a situation whilst charging a unit of clanrats, I didnt question my opponent cause hes a friend and I typically trust his judgement on these type of things. basically what happened is he made a stand and shoot reaction with his warpfire thrower as i charged its 'parent unit'. I wasnt sure whether this could be done but he said it had been clarified in a FAQ. I looked it up but couldnt find anything in the FAQ. anyway, long story short It lead to me loosing the game in quite and incredible way. can it be done?

PS3 fanboy: jesus owns a ps3.

XBOX 360 fanboy: So does Satan. Thor and Odin own 360s though.
Jesus promises the end of evil, Thor promised the end of Ice Giants.
I DON'T SEE MANY ICE GIANTS AROUND.

He is wrong.

Only Empire Detatchments get a 'stand and shoot' when the parent units are charged but the shooting unit is not.

There is no such rule in the Skaven book.

The weapon teams can only S&S of they, the actual weapon team, gets charged. No rules allowing S&S against units charging the parent unit exist, or have existed since 6E.

Warp fire rules specifically state they can stand and shoot when charged, but not when the parent unit is charged.

Shaven have an exception to every rule in the BRB so having a shaven book handy and FAQ is mandatory when playing if you want to get the rules right
