Im trying to match paint to those clear green rods that go in the Necron Warriors' guns, but I don't actually have the rods here. Is that clear green plastic the same color as the green templates? And could someone suggest colors to match these things? Thanks guys!

I've actually never used the plastic rods, and have always hand painted them myself. This is because about 10-12 years ago all necrons were metal and sold as individuals. I always used the dark elf green (at least I think it was called that) and the scoprion green. And of course skull white for bright spots.

I haven't seen anyone match them very closely, but it doesn't look bad if you add a little OSL around the crystal and do like Trapper said.

Those tubes on the front of the gun...do they come in transparent green plastic too? I didn't spray or build these models so I don't know >.<

I believe they do come in transparent green, but I'm not sure how you will find them without buying an entire necron warrior boxed set. GW does sell bits and tree parts though, so maybe you can find it directly on their site.

Also I forgot to mention, after painting the tubes to your liking, you can add a layer of varnish to closer replicate the glassy appearance.

Have a reference for what's green plastic and what isn't. HTH.

The rods are transparent green, personally I paint mine, but you can buy the green rods on the sprue from bits sites and also from Ebay pretty readily

I'm actually talking about that bent green connector hose that comes out of the side of the gun. I stripped the paint off the ones I have and found grey underneath. It seems I really do just have to paint them

Yeah, thats always been plastic, its literally just the green rods (warriors, destroyers, heavies, warscythes etc) that were anything different (and some monolith parts but I'm not familiar with that kit)
