So I am really just hitting my stride in 40k and I am looking to add another 40k army to my collection. I saw this on ebay and am wondering how many points it is and can it win games vs Eldar, Ork, GK.. If commanded properly of course.

HQ:
Lord commissar(old commissar model)




Troops:

1st platoon command- x5 guardsmen, 2 plasma guns, 1 las cannon, 1 commissar

1st platoon squad 1- x10 guardsmen, 1 rocket launcher, 1 grenade launcher

1st platoon squad 2- x10 guardsmen, 1 rocket launcher, 1 grenade launcher, 1 vox caster

2nd platoon command- x5 guardsmen, 4 meltaguns, 1 commissar, 1 chimera w/ heavy stubber

2nd platoon squad 1- x10 guardsmen, 1 rocket launcher, 1 grenade launcher, 1 vox caster

2nd platoon squad 2- x10 guardsmen, 1 rocket launcher, 1 grenade launcher

2nd platoon squad 3- x10 guardsmen, 1 rocket launcher, 1 grenade launcher


Heavy weapons team 1- x3 mortar squads

Heavy weapons team 2- x3 heavy bolter teams




Fast attack:




Scout sentinel squadron- x3 scout sentinels, 2 auto cannons, 1 missile launcher, 3 hunter killer missiles(all bodys have been magnetized to the legs)

Armored sentinel squadron- x1 armored sentinel, 1 plasma cannon(body has been magnetized to legs)


Heavy support

Leman russ- x1 heavy flamer w/lascannon swap, Heavy stubber
Leman russ demolisher/executioner/punisher w/plasma cannon sponsons and hull mounted las cannon(all main weapons can be swapped)

The models listed above are on ebay for sale. I am considering buying them.. From the sounds of your melta comment it seems it was not built optimally. I currently have 0 Imperial Guard models but I am looking at taking them as my next army.

The army is listed in the first post. It does not come with any other weapons or bits. It is an as is army.

hq commander yarrik

storm troopers (yarrik goes here and try to get a chimera) + melta guns

troop

squad 1

5 melta guns (upgrade verrys)

1 melta 1 lascannon

1 melta 1 lascannon

squad 2

THE SAME AS SQUAD 1!!!

fast attack
scout sentinals either autocannons or lascannon
armor sentinal (get 2 more) all plasma cannon (or las cannons)

heavy support

leman russ vanguisher with commander upgrade with lascannon and heavy bolter sposons

leman russ any one of them will be fine but demolisher should have heavy bolter spoosons and las cannon everything else is heavy bolter and plasma cannon spooson

if you actualy bought the army i just sent you would have to pay over 100$$$ just buy the thing and you wil be fine just proxy their weapons
