This video is both my first video and my neatest tutorial. I do hope to put up more, but only time can tell...

Anyway, Might as well rock this tutorial. Without further ado...

Comments? Criticisms? Questions?

Also, I do apologise for the squeaky sounds (Poor mic) and poor quality video (Point and shoot).

the barrels lack detail, and however you showed the basics you didnt really finish it up by showing the based end product and painted result.

it does however has potential, so consider me subscribed

right. it has been raining for a couple of days, and without access to an easy place to spray paint it, I decided just to wait it out. I'll probably get the painting done soon.

Constructive criticism
1.) You don't explain what components are used
2.) It looks like a log pile, not barrels.

The audio and video were good enough not take away from the tutorial, and your narration wasn't bad.

thank you, and I can try to clear up a couple of things:

1) The components were mostly what you saw: Cardboard, Wooden dowels (around 3/4" x 2"), and a couple of crown moulding scraps. Crown mould is a edging used often on chests and cabinets, but occasionally on chairs and tables. an assortment of bitz, all along the same theme, and a simple square rod about 4-5" long.

2) I agree, but that is mostly because it is unpainted. If you wanted to, you could add rings around them to increase the barrel-ness, but for the most part, I aim to get the "barrel theme across with paint. If you wanted to lengthen the dowels, then it would look more like a lumber depot. But both follow the same approximate scheme, so it's really entitled to your own opinion.

3) Thank you.

Also, miraculously, the rain has let up, meaning I may get the painting video up tonight.

Yup. Needs more detail. I agree with the log thing, I actually thought we were building a timber yard for a moment. Painted and a bit more work and it would come out pretty nice.

Yeah, that was pretty good, not bad for your first.

Some details I think you missed. The top barrels are the most noticible so maybe adding a large metal strap to hold them in place and some battle damage might have made them better.

Also, ALL installations industrial, military, and storage facilities stack their barrels vertically, logs are stacked horizontally.

Maybe setting up the barrels on their base like the fallowing would be better :
9 + 10 + 9 bottom,
6 + 5 on top

This would also allow you to drill small wholes in the sides of the barrels for bullet wholes, and with a medium you could add water effect to the base as if there were leaking.
