What is the best color scheme for Imperial Fists? I'm making my first foray into miniature painting, and I want to start off as well as I can. I took a look at GW's yellow color scheme, but I don't believe it's so simple, especially if I want a golden-yellow color, not lemon-yellow.

I too prefer a more golden-yellow appearance and when I paint a yellow like that, I follow something similar to:

Base gold-brown (I think it's vermin or scrofulousbrown for GW).
Golden yellow for the next coat, leaving the brown in the recesses.
Then it's a blend or layering process up to a flat yellow while keeping the golden-yellow colour strongest.

I wish I could post some good pics of my results but I don't have anything remotely resembling a decent camera at the moment :(

I highly recommend agains tthe Casandor (sp) Yellow shade...way too orange.

There's a thread floating with a dude who uses Ushabti Bone, highlight's with white and bone, then Glazes with Lamenters...looks awesome for Imp Fists and it's what I've started using as its so simple.
