When the instructions say 'use short stem' do they mean the short out of the two shorter ones [1] that are provided or do they mean either of the short ones as opposed to the long ones, that you might have from another kit [2]

I would like to know if I can give one of the short stems away to my friend..

is there a preference for the barge out of the 2 short stems? which looks better? can the short-short stem even be used on the barge or wil the underslung gun hit the ground (I am gonna make the barge in the future)

I would say the shortest that it comes supplied with. Even then I doubt it would matter what stem was used.

Any of the stems it comes with.

If it comes with more than one, ALL are "legal" options - as ALL are part of the "base it comes with".

It's GW's fail to specify which one. Then again, they don't specify base sizes in WHFB anymore, either.
