I was leant most of the comic series by my mate and its really good ( a fine satire in the spirit of William Hogarth

). So far its shaping up for a dramatic fight between the Seven and The Boys.
But I have a question.
Are the Homelander and Queen Maeve actually as powerful as the comic book characters they are satires of? (Superman and Wonder Woman) I mean we're told that they're tough and that Frenchie remarks that although untrained past a certain level that simply doesn't matter in a fight. What I'am saying is that most of the supes in the series so far have been pretty mediocre fighters, with the exception of the German guy, with the writer going to great effort to point out the drawbacks or flaws

in most superhero powers; but if they pulled that for the final battle I would be a bit disappointed. I'd prefer if Butchs final fight with the Homelander was more epic and made it clear that theres a real chance of Butcher being killed. Might even take all the boys, plus starlight and Hot sausage

to take him down.
I suspect that the Homelander will find out about Maeves betrayel and kill her.The characters never struck me as one to make amends; even if she did stand up for Starlight.
EDIT: Really?

I'am surprised, my understanding is that the Boys comics were quite popular. Not to everyones tastes and vulgar but still...
