I can across this mat a while back and wanted to share it with everyone. I think it will work as a great battle mat for $18 dollars. It's 39 inches by 39 inches.
The backing is made of black felt so you could hand sew a few pieces together for bigger maps. I'm planning on cutting it into small pieces to use a decorative scatter or as area terrain.
Basically to represent troops hidden in long grass or place a couple of trees on for a wooded area. It comes folded, so you may need to get the steam iron out to iron out the folds.

This is definitely not a tournament compatible layout. You'd have to house rule it with friends for thematic games.
None of the buildings are ruined, so you're either inside or not, and you can't see inside buildings unless you are in base contact with it.
If troops inside the building can shoot at you, then you can see and shoot at them. A wall or raised terraced level can be area terrain if you are within 2 inches of it. Trees are just decorative unless you put a grass template under them. All the random small scatter terrain only counts as cover if you are in base contact with it and with squads, any model that can't make contact with it is out of cover. These are just random thoughts.

Also, the new computer is coming tomorrow (well, later today technically), so I may be wasting my life on computer games for a while.

Three new projects printed up. The first is a small purity seal I printed.
The text was made out of an image from an illuminated medieval manuscript.
It either states some religious verse, a formula for an alchemist's thistle wine or possibly instruction on how to drown a witch.
Take your pick.

The second was a totem for my orks. It's a nice example of Mork or possibly Gork for them to give offerings too.

Finally I made this squig to proxy as an all melee Deff Dead. So it will count as 4 dread klaws (4 bites) and one stompy feet.
It's on a 60mm base and is about 3.1 inches tall. I don't have a Deff Dead, but it is supposed to be 3.5 inches tall, but I don't know if that is to the top of its body or to all those exhaust stacks?
I may also print a much bigger squig to proxy as a Gorkanaut. I can print him to be 13cm tall, but the challenge is width, but if I mount all its weapons on its sides, I think I can make him wide enough.
I also have 30 or so of the old gretchin mechanics to populate the top and sides for effect.
