Hey guys, I am completely lost here. I bought a handful of Dreadnought sprues for cheap (just for extra weapons), and I don't know really what I'm doing. Here is one sprue I've got pulled apart, and I'm trying to figure out what's what:

http://www.heresy-online.net/forums/sprues/showphoto.php?photo=76&title=venerable-dreadnought-sprue-1-front&cat=976

1. What is the "hand" in slot 59? A power fist? Just a hand to place other weapons in? What does it attach to, since it doesn't fit the same arm that the dreadnought CCW fits (the "pegs" aren't the same). (Edit: It does fit the same arm as the Dread CCW; I was trying to attach it to the Blood Angels arm I have. I still don't know what it is though)

2. What is the weapon at 66/67? It's a plasma weapon, but which one?

3. What is the small under-slung gun at (I think) 4?

On this part:

http://www.heresy-online.net/forums/sprues/showphoto.php?photo=78&title=venerable-dreadnought-sprue-2-front&cat=976

1. What are the parts at 73-77? They look like miscellaneous shoulders or something, but I can't tell.

I've also got another sprue that I can't identify. I'm fairly certain it's a dreadnought sprue as well, and it's only labeled "Games Workshop 2010". I only have a half-sprue, and parts of it are missing. It's got a dreadnought arm with a Blood Angels icon on the arm.

I'm basically trying to cobble together an Ironclad, but it seems like every single right arm I have is a gun arm, not a CCW arm. It's really frustrating!!

Thanks for any help you guys!

You, my flipped-out friend, have acquired a pair of sprues to a Grey Knights dread. The answers you seek are:
1)Grey Knights Dread powerfist
2)Plasma Cannon
3)I believe you're referring to the Storm Bolter. It mounts under the powerfist.

1B)Those are the pieces for the inside of the arm. They mount over the pegs on the dread's body.

Hope this helps, and good luck.

More or less yes...Great, we've gone from cheap resin substitutes to weapons banned by the geneva convention...

It's a venerable dreadnought, NOT specifically a Grey Knight one.
Unlike the BLOOD ANGELS furioso, the GK do not have a specific kit for their dreadnoughts. It IS shown as a GW dreadnought on the GW website though, even though it is JUST a "generic" venerable dreadnought.

1. Miscellaneous shoulders are because the venerable comes with several sets of these plates. Some people don't like the script. engravings.

Part #59 is one half of the venerable dreadnought DCCW powerfist (it is used with the part directly above it).

#66-67 is a plasma cannon. ONLY the venerable dreadnought comes with this. It also comes with the assault cannon (multiple barrel cluster weapon) and lascannon (two separate barrels).

Underslung weapons nearest #4 is the heavy flamer.

ONLY one dreadnought kit comes with a right arm ccw. The Blood Angels Furioso. If you want a Right arm ccw for an ironclad, then your choices are the ironclad OR furioso dread kits (or a resin arm from Forge world).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I ordered a right-arm CCW from an Ironclad on ebay today for like 7 bucks.

One last question: Since all the dreadnought flamers (main arm, not underslung) are twin-linked heavy flamers, and I don't have any, would a Flamestorm Cannon from a Redeemer be acceptable as a main-arm twin-linked heavy flamer? I know it's not the right bit, but it definitely identifies as a flamer, and it's the only option a dread has for a main-arm flamer. I mean, not in a casual game, but a WYSIWYG setting. Would they allow that?

Thanks again!!
