Subject: Dawn of War 1 Tyranid mod...

Huge Hierodule

I was thinking of getting the Tyranid mod for Dawn of War 1. However I wanted to get some advice from my fellow Dakkites first.
Firstly, what is in the Tyranid mod? Do Tyranids have any special gaming mechanics like Necrons?
Secondly, is it safe to install? We have a Windows 7 PC with a very good graphics card, but I don't want to do something that could screw up the computer.
Thirdly, how do you install it? Does it require major hacking or tampering with code? Is something likely to go wrong?
Finally, where is the best place to get it from?
Also, are there any other good mods for it?
Thanks!

Google it.
Does pretty much what it says on the tin - tyranids. Lots of them.
Can be a blast with friends teaming up against them.
Of course it's safe.

I wouldn't say any of the mods were "good", really. They're all very amaturish.

Here you go.

It's safe and it's pretty decent.
Edit: imo, the Witch Hunters mod is better than the actual Soulstorm SoB army.

Hm. I guess that looks okay, for DoW1 graphics.

It's pretty decent, although a few odd restrictions apply. They don't do generators, and only use Requisition.

But necrons use only energy, so kind of the opposite.

I'm going to assume you're referring to Tyranid mods, and not mods in general, because if so then you sir have not played firestorm over kronus/kaurava
