Subject: Ordenance Barrage Direct Fire mode.

Situation: Space Wolves on second floor of 4 story ruin, covered but in line of sight. Manticore rolls D3 and gets 3 missles. Manticore uses Direct fire "mode" to make the Ordenance Blast just Ordenance. The Manticore now needs 3 2d6 scatter rolls as the "flip" only works if fired in "barrage mode". Did we play it right, I couldn't find anything in the BRB covering multi-ordenance shots.
Note: Barrage mode and Direct fire mode are my terms to explain the situation and are not in fact rules.

Yeah you did it right. The place where you'd go to reference it in the rules is multiple blasts. There's no dedicated section for hitting with ordnance weapons since ordnance uses the same rules to hit as any other (blast, barrage, or nonblast as applicable) weapon.

I think that is correct, as you aren't firing multiple barrages, but multiple blasts at that point.

I'm probably wrong, but isn't the Manticore one of the few that cannot fire directly? Don't have IG codex on hand atm.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Storm Eagle rockets are one of the Few IG O-B weapons that CAN fire directly. The only ones that can are Storm eagle rockets and Earthshakers, The IG codex is just about the only Codex that has Ordnance Barrage weapons that cannot be Directly fired, and the number of those outnumber the ones that can(3 no-direct fire vs 2 that can direct-fire)

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

Yeah you guys played it correctly. On a side note I thought the medusa could direct fire, but I don't have my book on hand. I know the griffon and collusus can't since they are mortars (and it says so in their rules)
