Been Around the Block

In between so much apocalyptic testosterone comes a "break release" for Dark Elves, a female figure: a Dark Elf Sorceress in full trance of magic invocation.
The blister comes with six magic flames to glue wherever you prefer to emphasize the magic spell effect.

A "break release" is a release that is out of the current army season. On every army season there will be some break releases to make releases a bit more varied.

Hope you like it!

Love it. Reminds me of this Storm picture!

I like it, but for some reason, she reminds me of a gazelle...

Same here. I don't have any interest in buying Witch Elf-like command elements until there are some plastic Witch Elves for her to command.

Well there's a pose you don't see every day. The facial expression makes me not want to like it. But everytime I try I fail. Great mini!!!

Considering the quality of his sculpting, why does Felix persist in putting up such tiny pictures of all his models???

Personally I am not a fan of this sculpt:
1.) Hip region looks out of scale and too large.
2.) Face expression is a bit bland. Together with the hair it looks more comical/terrified than menacing.
3.) The walking pose is odd. If you look from the side, it seems she is falling backwards.

The general concept of the miniature is a nice idea but the execution just doesn't work.

Agreed... this model is really asking for a fantastic paint job with lighting effects! Will look incredible in the right hands, I think.

I think she is stepping back, not walking forward. Bracing herself against whatever magical horrors she is conjuring.

Tiny pictures, which even cropping the solicitation image so the logos are cut off, doesn't even help...

Also, the 'Six magic flames included!' doesn't feel quite as compelling as the weapon options of previous releases.

Walking pose seems kind of strange but overall its not a bad model at all I think. With the proper paintjob, it could be great.

Agreed, the choice of heads and weapons really sealed the deal for me on previous AoW models, it's something I would like to see kept on by the company in future releases.

Hmm. First AoW model in a while that I plan on grabbing. It will work well mixed in with my Dark Eldar wytches. based on the precedent of Lelith, models with crazy hair and point things make good proxies for Shardnet/Impailer wytches, which I always run short on. the GW plastic DE sorceress also works the same.

Is this just a preview, or is it out already?
