What are the best choices for a Necron army in planet strike where they are defending against Dark eldar and chaos space marines?

C'tan with singularity and withering worldscape.

Orikan turns the entire table into difficult terrain.

Difficult terrain is dangerous terrain to the entire army because it is deep striking, and the C'tan makes it so they fail dangerous terrain on a 1 or 2. On turn 1 the entire dark eldar and CSM army now takes a dangerous terrain test that they fail on a 1 or 2.

Necrons break planetstrike.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

Somewhere Ironic

Stormlord, since, yknow, attackers get first turn, they're forced to deploy their forces. Ergo, more chances of lightning. I think.

Other than that, what Schadenfreude said.

Sounds good. Which Cryptek classes would you recommend bringing? Thanks for the advice so far.

2 storms with both crystals in seperate units on the outside of your lines. That should give a few extra zaps when deep striking units land within 6".

Tremorteks with the -d3 to charge range set up in difficult terrain are good. Enemy units that can deepstrike can charge when they deepstrike. Worst of 2d6 from orikan -d3=frequent failed charges.

Take out 1 barge and 5 guard...change one stormtek to a pulsetek w/ eldritch lance making the total thus far 1700...you could add 5 heavy destroyers if you have the models or maybe another ghost ark and 15 more warriors. for a total of either 2000 or 1995 depending on the choice.

Canada!

You'll want some useful ranged shooting in there. Not too many solutions present with a decent chance to hurt something nasty and bigger than an 18 inch threat bubble, I guess you can try to rely on special rules, drifting templates and being glance tastic but I bet you can already feel how unstable that is.

Solar pulse also makes your day in an awful lot of games.
It's really weird to see a list without a pulsetek or a barge lord in it. Two of the more powerful options in the codex that fit into most lists very comfortably.

Can only do a single court with Orikan, but I would add him. He's the guy that makes all open terrain difficult on turn 1, and because it's planetstrike and everybody deep strikes all difficult terrain becomes dangerous. With the C'tan 1/3 infantry without an invo will die on turn 1. What he also does is any enemy unit moving through difficult terrain that is difficult before his bonus rolls 2D6 for distance and uses the worst of 2D6 instead of the best. That may be crucial since units with that already have deep strike can deep strike and assault on turn 1.

stormtek goes by himself to (hopefully) intercept enemies deep striking. The eterntek, pulsetek, Tremortek stay with the Nemesor in his court and Vargard goes with the lychguard so he teleport them to the Nemesor or an objective if needed.

- You forget it's planetstrike they will be deep striking in the "18in threat bubble" to try and get to the objectives plus almost everything in the list has 24in range and the monolith has a 24in blast and the A barge has a 24in str 7 TL assault 4 tesla, arc weapon which can do some serious to damage to almost every vehicle and unit.
- I added a pulsetek to the list in the post right above your last one.
- I don't think flying over the enemy and swooping down while trying to defend objectives is the best thing, the firestorms could easily make them useless for the rest of the game by making it immobile or even destroyed before the game even begins. IMO

How about a c'tan with lord of fire to mess up the melta weapons that come to destroy your buildings?

You need more A- Barges as they are one of the best units in the game.

Your defending, scarabs might not be the best choice especially when the enemy brings down those firestorms because of those vulnerable to blasts they would be wiped out pretty fast.

Scarabs in cover can take a lot of hits. If the firestorm gets real bad just have them go to ground for a 2+ cover save.

Or in reserve like I did. I used the list yesterday. I lost. I held I objective to two. The enemy got real lucky and popped three vehicles right off the bat. The scarabs proceeded to eat 2 vehicles then get killed by incubi. I would like to take out something and add in wraiths cause I felt like I was missing a quick punch.

Also the Orikan and C'tan mix screwed up my opponents pretty bad. So I'd like to keep that.

Maybe just take out that warrior unit since objectives in planet strike aren't controlled by just troops.
Sorry to add on, but what do you think would be the best necron thing for an attacking force?

Any unit that can deepstrike can assault on the turn it comes in.

Wraiths can deep strike then assault.

I think lychguard can deep strike and then assault provided they have a veiltek or big O with them.
