me and my partner are moving over to NZ (whangaparaoa) from england in july (28th), if anyone is about i would love to meet up for a few games of 40k and if anyone is interested i play sercets of the third reich. cheers guys

I have 2000 pts of guard, but after 1.5k they become more me fitting random stuff in as opposed to useful things. My 1k list is pretty sweet.
I also have about 500pts of eldar

If you are on the Shore then your best bet is Vagabonds Takapuna, I haven't been myself (since its on the wrong side of the city for me) but I gather that their Thursday Games Nights do pretty well and I know that a bunch of NZs top 40k players often use that store.

Its obviously early days atm but I expect the new Queen St GW to do pretty well in terms of games nights, its actually big enough to have more than just demo and painting tables and even has a couple of 6'x4' tables so proper 1750-2000pt tournament standard games will be possible. The old GW Queen St store did much better than the Sylvia Park store in terms of gaming (just not many walk ins) so I expect that to be the same, being down hill from the Uni's is pretty helpful.

Outside of those two stores there are also a few gaming clubs which meet in various places around Auckland on Sundays. City Guard is probably the biggest and probably cover the widest number of games, they meet at Freemans Bay Community Center on Sundays (not this Sunday though since there is a big tournament there). Google them for more info, their forums are a good source of info for NZ gamers. The club I go to is East Auckland Elites, which meets at the Remuera Commerce Club every second Sunday. We are mostly 40k (5-6 of the top 12 players in NZ), with some Fantasy and the occasional Specialist Game/random board game thrown in.
