I was just watching channel 4 news and it said the Olympic torch after going through Northern Ireland is going to be going to Dublin. Why are they doing that?

I mean I'am pretty sure, as the Irish enjoy pointing out, they are very much not a part of the UK/GB anymore.

Its the relay around the country before the games begin so it should stay in Britain during that time.

Why would I be disappointed exactly? I'am just curious.
