I think I've seen at least two of these locked (one started by innocent old me!).

If against forum rules, no issues whatsoever but the last lock I saw (I thinik) was due to KK saying "start a blog".

Was that facetious or are users violating non wargaming pics in the thread? If so, we kinda konw its the OT thread right?

Could we maybe start a sub thread where RL pics are allowed?
A lot of the ones I've seen are fairly innocent? (OK Cannerus/Ribbon!, GTFO here! )

Anyways, its fun to see the peeps behind the avatars but forum rules are rules

The pic threads allow the pics, but the problem is they invite a lot
of trolling and flamebaiting. They last as long as they can until
a bunch of people decide to crash and burn.

There's a rule concerning hosting non-wargaming pictures on Dakka but not posting them...
The people that post them usually use a different site (photobucket usually) for their pictures...
