Hey, DakkaDakka,

After reading a review of the Citadel paint range on Stahly's Tale of Painters, I was fascinated by the too-good-to-be-true Casandora Yellow shade, which, liberally applied over white primer, seems to result in a warm, rich yellow with minimal effort! (See below-right!)

With this technique in mind, I've set my heart on a Badab War-themed Lamenters army, but the problem of how to paint the Tanks and Skimmers in the list has arisen. I can't imagine the shade would sit very well on the flat, smooth surfaces on, say, a Rhino. It'd be near-impossible to ensure an even, consistent coat of shade?

The question, therefore, is this. Is their, either:
  • A technique to help the wash sit on the surfaces?
  • A method I might use to achieve a matching effect to the infantry?

  • Thanks.

Personally, when I wash my tanks with the new paint range, I would mix a tiny bit of the medium and an equal amount of water on a mixing tray, but make sure you make a good bit of it, you might want to get a dropper just for doing it (: Then apply it to something flat from your bits box to see how it turns out and if it neds a bit more medium, don't pause to do it, trial again and then feel free to give it a go on your tanks, the watery the better, it'll take longer, but you will have to give it a few passes

    Hope this helps

    Good luck!
