...but here goes.

I'm building an Imperial Guard army at the moment (3 infantry platoons (with PCS), a CCS and armor later on). Anyway, I like the idea of having separate colours for each of the three platoons and I've ran along fine with the two Cadian options, the Catachan standard which is furled. However, I love the look of the C/Sgt Kell model and standard. I was wondering if I could field the model as just a normal standard bearer in my CCS without having him specified as Kell.

Any advice would be appreciated.

PS. If this is the wrong forum I apologize, my first time here and all that..

I see people use special character models to represent normal ones quite often. It shouldn't be a problem for most people, as long as you make it clear before the game starts

You could, but just specify with your opponent it is not Kell and all should be well. If you were playing against me I wouldn't have a problem with someone who looks like a special character not the real character.

I imagine if you're not running Creed (and thus can't take Kell anyway, I believe?) there's not really a case for complaining. Even if you were, if it was clarified before the game, I know I (or most people) wouldn't have a problem
