Subject: My band releases first single tomorrow...
Just thought one or two of you may be interested to know that my band Dresden is releasing a single entitled 'F.I.B.U.A' tomorrow (21st), through Longevity Records.
We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

Best of luck! Any idea of what/which markets it'll get play in?
Radio play (if we even manage to get any - budgets are very tight for plugging etc.) will probably be confined to the UK, and will likely be microscopic...
Sorry about the embed folks, looks like there's been some sort of admin hiccup. I'm currently shouting at people, and generally behaving like Mariah Carey. It should be back up soon...

What, your behaving in an overtly sexual manner with a fat bearded man in the snow?

Anyhow, apparently one of the guys at the label took the video down because there was no band name or label identification in the clip, unbeknownst to the OTHER guy at the label, who had told us that it was up. Apparently now it's up again after the singer (i.e. me) threw a hissy fit.
Indie problems!

Just had a listen to that, very enjoyable, you have a surprisingly light voice for a big fella. Reminded me of New Order a bit, so all good.
I would strongly urge you to contact the Radcliffe and Maconie show on BBC6, they are big champions of new music and have taken up the mantle from Peel in my opinion. You're also in the same locale, Mega City.
Also shared the vid on facebook, best of British to you.

Thanks man! that's kind of the vibe we're going for. With less Peter Hook, because Peter Hook is an Arsehole.

I'm both selfish and rational. I'm scheming, secretive and manipulative; I use knowledge as a tool for personal gain, and in turn obtaining more knowledge. At best, I am mysterious and stealthy; at worst, I am distrustful and opportunistic.

Interestingly I was listening to NO on the R&M show the other day (thank feth for iplayer) and they all agreed with you about that, they all seemed puzzled by his behavior.
Mind you, his bass on Blue Monday is the finest of all time...

Truth.
Hanging around the Manc music scene, you tend to run into quite a few folks who've met 'Hooky', and the universal opinion seems to be that he is pretty vile IRL. He's a professional Manc - y'know, the type who doesn't move away, and stays to trade off his image as a Manchester music 'legend'. There is only one city in the world in which Clint Boon is a big deal, and I am unfortunate enough to live in it. Same goes for Rowetta. Actually, she's quite nice, but there's definitely a 'big fish, small pond' vibe with her, no question.

I just checked out your single. I was surprised and impressed. Not meaning that as a backhanded compliment, just that I did not expect it to be that good!
Yeah I too just heard it before it was taken down apparently.

Yeah, I was never an inspirals fan. I did fancy the pants off Rowetta seeing her on telly back in the day. Always liked the Happy Mondays though. And I know 'the type', Gary Clail used to live in Penzance and he was fething horrible. Arrogant, drunk all the time and, despite the lyrics of his only hit, human nature, constantly boasting about owning a manor house and being rich (he'd actually pissed most of it away). I did have the pleasure of throwing him out of my local pub once, after he insulted the landlady for refusing him credit. I ensured his face enjoyed a prolonged contact with the tarmac.
