So after seeing hundreds of GKs all in various shades of grey and mettalic, I wanted to try something a little different.
A concept I've been puttering around with for a few weeks.
The model is a Standard GK trooper. Regular SM legs, body, and right shoulder pad mixed with GK arms, weapons, left shoulder then topped with Chromlech heads, packs, and flags.
Justicars will follow the same color scheme, but will have the full GK armor (as befitting their rank).
The model is free standing as I have not decided how to base them yet.
Each model will have its own unique Kanji Character and cherry tree on its flag. Each blossom on the individuals tree represents a mission completed with honor.

This was also my first attempt at wet-blending (blood red up through the new Jokero Orange).
C&C always welcome and appreciated.

The scheme looks to be pretty easy and clean. I am glad they aren't gunmetal knights as that is rather boring.

What did you do with the head?I can't identify where thats from.

I really dig what you did with the backpacks though. Way cool.

As for a critique, they look a bit shiny. Or rather, they look wet still. Is that a result of the wet blending?

All in all, they look pretty good. I would like to see a shot of them in a squad on the table.

Cheers

If I give you a cookie, will you go away? If I give you the bag, will you go far, far away?

The shine is probably from the red wash I used to deepen the oranges into a more reddish hue. I should spray him with a nice matte finish, the add a touch of gloss to the blade edges and eye lenses.
The lighting is also a bit off...these were taken outdoors during todays eclipse.
The heads and backpacks are after-market conversion bits:

Sorry, no squad available...yet. This is my first one as a test subject and blending practice. Once I'm happy with the final result I'll start putting together the other 10 I have bits ready for (the OSL around the eye is real sloppy and I'm clueless what to do for basing).
