At this points level I can't really whip out the Shaman Battery or the Minobus. I've gone halfway with the Shaman. I've no idea what i'm goin' up against, this is my first tournament. I feel that a rumble with the big boys will be very healthy.

Plan of attack. I will throw numbers at them. I've played my Beasts as a cudgel, I mean we have no -real- ranged capabilities. Raiders are at best a harassment or solution to warmachines. We lack the armor of our human cousins *WoC* So why not rely on Primal Fury and bring hordes upon hordes of gors. With the Banner of Beasts and a lvl 4 running Beasts. We have good magic. I'll use it as a support role for my workhorse.

Getting in the top 3 would be nice but at the end of the day I like playing Warhammer, and my sportsmanship generalship will play into my score.

If your taking the banner of Beast on the wargor, you won't be able to take the talisman of preservation on him.

Your Brayshaman mather is coverd, and seems soilid enough. But your Wargor dose not need greatweapon, I would rather run an additional weapon, but both works in the end so your call.

Your army really could use some more Gors, but I know how it is at such "low" levels with Beastmen. And you really need those Ungors for dealing with Warmachines and such since your not bringing harpies.
All in all with the changes you made on your Lords/heros it seems solid enough. I particulary like the loadout on your Llv 4 thou

I think that your BSB needs a shield, as he can't carry both the magic banner and magic items (he can still take Gnarled hide, though). If he has HA, Shield, GH, then he has a 2+/6++ in close combat, which is generally when he needs a good save. If you run HA, GW, GH, then he only has a 3+. A unit of GW wielding...well, anything...will ruin his day.

A shield? I'll try it come Thursday. The only real reason I run him with GW is because he's a old Khorngor standard bearer, so he has the flag in one had, great-axe in the other.

More gors means less Bestigors so that's a no-go I have 60 that's not exactly light on the bill.

One popular option is to move the numbers around for a unit of 40 and a unit of 20 instead of two units of 30. That way you're getting more Gors in the unit with the Beast Banner, and still have a good sized unit for supporting charges or Ambushing.

Mayhaps I'll craft a 40 deep movement tray. And I wouldn't ambush unless I have the One eye. I've just had too many Ungor units vanish. :(

I usually don't Ambush anything, but if I'm facing a foe that either has a ton of units, or has things they like to leave unprotected in the back (like war machines) I'll consider leaving a unit out to Ambush. Even if they don't show up when/where I need them, they oftentimes cause the enemy to either bunch up their units, or leave a unit somewhat out of the fight to 'protect' their war machines. Even if they don't show up exactly where you need them, 10" march means they can get somewhere fast enough.

Assuming they show up at all, of course :(

GBS and Wargor with the Gor, and Beast Lord with the Bestigor. 2 Strong hordes, plenty of redirectors and chaff, could even ambush 1-2 of the raiders, razorgor for mage stomping and hold up weak tarpitters or change it to 5 harpies for war machine hunting. You will find with your original post that S3 just doesn't cut it, this way you are looking at at least S4-S7 for your 2 hordes (if a Wyssan's gets off).

I like Hargus's list alot but I would drop LOB for LOS

Yeah I do like LOS better myself -D3 S and -D3 T, beat +1S +1T IMO, plus you have Pit of Shades, Miasma and Mindrazor, the only meh spell is the steed one but you can swap it for Miasma. Outside of Wysaans LOB does not have much, the curse is miasma essentially does the same for the negative to hit, but the 2 character buffing spells while nice are limited to the characters only, amber spear is OK and Kandon is OK as well can be great, but with 1 caster you would lose your +4 to dispel for their turn and they will just dispel the remain in play spell with their final dice roll while they own their magic phase with their +casting level.

I do too, but don't have the $$ for a box of bestigors and the razorgor.
