I'v just seen the new SM apothecary. Dose it have a heart on the shoulder pad? Just I would prefer the apothecary emblem

And he isn't exactly "new" that is an old Space Marine sculpt from I think 3rd Edition

OP, please work on your spelling and grammar. Even the subject line is spelled very poorly, and as a whole your post is hard to read.

NuclearMessiah is correct, that model is old. It was in the old metal command squad box set. It's either from the very beginning of third or very end of second edition though; I remember the other Apothecary that came out at the same time had the older-style bolt pistol sprue.

One question thats always nagged me.

I have the model you posted Nuclear, but mine has a helmet. Its solid metal. I didn't really think about it before, but every picture I've seen of him he's got a face. My guy seems to have magically donned a helmet.

I think that you are correct in your assumption.

As to the OP, I cant say if there is a heart or not on his shoulder. If you don't like the guy, I highly suggest you just purchase the command squad box or go to a bit site and pick up the plastic apothecary (which is 100x better then the old metal/finecast)

Methinks the OP is afraid of his models being seen as "girly" by certain schoolfriends (I'm just throwing this out here based on an age assumption) as the Apothecary has a heart on it. Because, it's totally nothing to do with the medical aspect of them is it?

The Apothecary's have a symbol similar to this on their shoulder pads

As you're talking about Marine Medics, I'd just like to point out these ones from Forgeworld.

They're practically the same price (cheaper for some overseas bods) than the finecast ones and look a lot better.
