So, I really like the Triarch Stalker a lot - with Scarabs, the Tomb Stalker, Spyders, and Wraiths, I rather like the mechanical bug theme they have going. Then, quicker then you can say c-c-combo breaker!, along comes the Triarch Stalker, a perfectly serviceable bio-mechanical arthropod of some type; who totally unnecessarily has a Triarch Praetorian pilot. That simply will not do.

I elevated the central gem and removed the pilot, and filled in the sides with putty (not as well as I could have, but not too bad either). I didn't add LED's this time because I just didn't think of it in time, but who knows, I might get another.

So, here are the pics:

As you can see, I went with the studio paint scheme which matches my Monolith. How tedious - it took me almost 2 weeks of painting this thing on and off. I'm not sure it was worth it, but I'm happy with how it came out. I had planned on doing my Spyders and Wraiths in the same scheme but am sort of reconsidering it now.

The Heat Ray is magnetized and can be swapped with the Particle shredder, and the TL Heavy gauss cannons, side "hoses" and main gun can be pegged in and out with no magnets needed.

Thanks for looking!

That could come straight out of a War of the Worlds movie. (One that didn't have Tom Cruise in and suck). If the Nec's get a titan for apoc, that's exactly what it should look like!
It looks so much more menacing than with a pilot, good job sir.

I love the paint job and execution, but the putty seems a bit obvious, even from afar.

Agreed with the rest about the pilot-less option. I'm getting a little tired of painting little skeletons for hours at a time. The fewer in hard to reach vehicles the better.

Good job.

sir, I will echo the opinion that this was an EXCELLENT paint job, and 2 weeks was certainly worth being able to grace this sites pages with this beauty. WELL DONE

Yeahhhh.. I am thinking of doing another one, and will try doing that part differently. Definitely the weakest point on an otherwise well done model.

I kind of wonder about the utility of having 2 of these? Like, tactically. I already have a ton of other elites - 10x Lychguard, 10x Praetorians...

Thanks for the comments, all.

I think it looks epic, well done, and the paint job's good too.
My only criticism is that the arcing spine creates a spherical space that seems like it needs to be filled with something... But that's pointing at something for the sake of pointing at something.

Well executed and nicely painted. My only criticism is the lack of Anthropomorphising. It doesnt have a face, which makes the model oddly 'unsatisfying' to my eye.

I feel that it does have a face, looking at the third photo it appears that the arrangement of lights has created a face of sorts for the model.

It looks much better without the pilot, well done!
