Did you make the porcelain buildings yourself?

They're nice and all, but too damn shiny.

No, I didn'tmake them. I just converted them. They're porcelain Christmas houses. You can see the how-to for the first batch I did here:

As to the shine, most of it is just the camera and lighting. Even though they've been brush dipped with minwax polyshades (which makes them very shiny), they're then covered in a couple layers of matte varnish and in person they're not glossy at all, just the slightest hint of a satin finish.

I think these are really nice set pieces. I'd prefer if there was a way to "see" through them, but that's just me. (I like my terrain to be useful in as many ways as possible.)

Thanks!

Unfortunately, the porcelain doesn't really lend it'self to being cut apart. To have an interior, you have to resort to a printed grid but we haven't found interiors to be necessary for Song of Blades and Heroes. However with some heavy cutting or carefull hammering, they can be turned into pretty cool Mordheim ruins like this.

It's not my work, it's this Sean Patten's Necromundicon which is where I got the idea for making my own.

Really cool stuff, but I wanted intact buildings not ruins.
