Has anyone used old glory for FoW? Mixed them with FoW? How does their scale compare? I'm curious cause they seem to be much cheaper then FoW and in the States.

Thx!

I don't use them personally, put I've heard plenty of good things about them.

Mixing models on the same base/platoon may not be so good, but I can't imagine not being able to mix platoons.

Their quality seems to vary widely, as their Italian range is very low quality (at least the tanks are). I would definitely look at the individual quality of what you are purchasing.

I asked cause they run 50 models for $15 USD. Tanks are 3 for $24. A lot of their WW2 models don't have pictures associated with them on their website.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to factor in bases to figure out costs. Im sure there are some FoW knockoffs out there.

Their infantry are fine but I'm not a huge fan of their tanks, they seem quite variable in quality (which seems to be true of most 15mm manufacturers). If the Old Glory site doesn't have any pictures you can have a look here http://www.skytrex.com/151/15mm-command-decision/ as they are the same miniatures.

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Woah, woah, there. FoW knockoffs? Careful with that. There were 15mm WWII miniatures before Battlefront came along.

I think he was referring to bases.

OG infantry are noticeably slighter and lack the "bobblehead" common to BF infantry. OG tanks are shorter as well, given that BF tends to make their tanks "taller" so they look right next to based infantry.

The Old Glory stuff isnt bad, it is just smaller than the BF stuff. If price is the thing, look to Plastic Soldier Company for Tanks and such - they match BF in size mostly. The PSC selection isn't as wide as OG.
