Moments is the key word here, not talking about games themselves or a 3 hour session on something (although we'll be lenient!)
Cast your mind back over your gaming history and pick out X moments that you can still remember and maybe even cherish.
5 of mine in no particular order:
Winning an Arathi Basin game back in the drunken hayday 2000-1990 vs East Dragons from Emerald Dream I think it was. At the time they were the elite of the elite in our battlegroup and we were basically just a bunch of part time piss heads
Vent literally exploded, real classic. I still have a screeny somewhere of it in my old Warcraft folders.
Completing the last level of Dawn of War 2 one Saturday night. I remember there was literally nada on so I said sod it, Im getting some brews in and sat in finishing it. Made an utter balls of it half way through and it ended up being a 40 minute game but to finally complete it was a true "hell yeah" moment.
Playing the demo of Street Fighter 2 on the ....wait for it....Amiga 500!
Me and my bro didnt own a console at the time and had only dabbled with it in the arcades or on mates machines. We sat for literally an entire evening playing it. The demo simply consisted of Ryu vs Ken on Ehondas level. Over and over and over again. Simpler but funner times.
Stepping off the boat for the very first time in Morrowind. Somehow I knew I'd found my fav RPG of all time. It was so magical and atmospheric. A genius game.
Playing Goldeneye 64, 4 player on pistols. It was the russian archive level I think and I had taken the golden gun. I had eliminated 2 other mates and one of them was left with a standard old pistol. We were running through the mazey corridors with me screaming "Im coming for you, thats right Im coming!". It was like something out of Predator. My mate was literally shaking beside me as he ducked and weaved through the level hoping to avoid the golden gun. Perfect gamin moment.

I am a big fan of MW3 and just about 2 weeks ago I got the best final kill cam I have ever seen. We were playing the map "Hardhat" on hardcore and I randomly tossed a grenade over a wall into the center area where folks like to camp. Next thing I know I got a kill before the grenade exploded, game ended. Kill cam comes up, shows me throwing the grenade, follows the grenade over the wall where it smacks a guy in the side of his head for the kill.
I know it wasnt my skill or anything that contributed to it, was just the luckiest throw, as well as it being the final kill. Needless to say the chat in game was full of laughter, and I really wish I had one of those things for my X-Box that could capture video, although most of my videos would be my average play and would get about 3 views on youtube...

My favorite multiplayer gaming moment came a few years ago.
It was a race. Me and my brother were speedrunning through Portal. Me, on the Orange Box for Xbox, him on PC. It was the most fun I've ever had playing a video game.
As for singleplayer, it came from the sheer amazement on my face when I first beat Neverwinter Nights. I was 10, and it was my first RPG. I beat in in a month or so, and was so happy.

The first time I played Heroes of Might & Magic III. It was fething MAGICAL!!!! That game has a very special place in my heart. I would make love to it if I could yeah thats how much I love it. I know.
The bunch of epic moments with my party members in the Baldur's Gate games. Those are just too many to mention.
Letting Vernon Roche cut Deathmold's balls off and shove them in he's mouth and than slit hes throat. Also the rest of epic Roche moments in the Witcher II.

I also play MW3.
My favourite moment was my 51 for 3 Game with around 3 Reapers. All rushing.
Also my 13 for 2 game against the world number one at capture the flag, he rage quitted.
My best final killcam was on my fun account, went afk and someguy knifed me. I had martydom and the grenade fell on his head. To add insult to injury he was one kill off a moab. You should've heard the rage.

I think completing Dead Space 2 on hardcore would be one of my top 10. It wasn't hard in the sense of how tough the enemies were (I think they were the same as on normal probably), it was hard because one little feth up could loose me up to 4 hours of progress. That made me tense the whole way through, and because I was tense I was more prone to making mistakes. Completed it after dying 8 times or so at various points. I let out the biggest sigh of relief I probably ever had.

One of my favorites was going 16-1 on Caspian Border in a Russian T-90.
I parked up on a hill where apparently no one could find me, and troll'd every single tank and transport that went towards the first capture point in the toll-booth station close to the American spawn point. I wish I knew how many tanks/LAVs I damaged/destroyed

Tanking the whole of the Deadmines ship on my level 19 Human warrior (this was during WotLK IIRC, but I wasn't even close to 80, so no heirlooms for me), with 3/5 of the team dead thanks to the rogue being a tool, and only a shaman left, standing on the wheel of safety (where no mobs can reach you, and eventually they bugger off and reset).
I was standing next to the wheel in case I needed to jump on, with the whole of the boat (including the goblin boss who drops the polearm) hammering on me, and the shaman healing me whenever he had the mana (we'd had to fight through the place to get there, so he was quite low).
I was busting out Shield Block as soon as it came off CD, and slowly but surely grinding down the mobs until the dust cleared, I was on 1hp, and the last mob fell.
That was perhaps the most intense fight i've ever had on a game, and definately the most intense WoW encounter i'd had. Only the shaman really cared though, the other 3 had just been spamming "res" "rez" "rez please" and such throughout the fight.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

That would have to be a SWAT game in Reach that I won with only one teammate, against a full team. The game went 50/38, and around 40 for my friend and I, an enemy rage quited.

For me its when i got my KV-5 (tier8) in World of Tanks, very first match i did it wound up being me vs a King Tiger (tier8) a JdgPanther (tier6? tank destroyer) a T20 (tier7) and i think they had a hummel (tier5 artillery) pummeling shots at me.
In the end i lost my gunner, my gun got buggered, my loader bit the farm, i caught on fire, lost the engine and both tracks where wrecked but i destroyed the King Tiger, nuked the t20 almost got the JdgPanther then the hummel got me finally, in the end i had about 4 kills that round with 15 shots fired (took out a M36 Slugger U.S. tank destroyer early on) and took about 70ish shots to my tank (normally you can get dinked in 6 to 10), i found out just how much of a bloody workhorse that damn thing is, sure i may have died but i went out taking as many buggers as i could with me. End game it was 6kills to 15kills (my team lost)

My fave moments usually revolved around TF2. My absolute fave though, was I was using the Pyro, and it was 2 forts. I liked to run into the spawn zone and keep as many enemies busy for as long as possible when my team was taking the intel. So this one time, I went in there just as the entire team was pouring out. I started doing my jumpy/burny/dance and pegged every single one. They were all burning and missing me like crazy. So a few dies, the others ran inside. I dropped lvl and came back up the stairs ASAP. They came out again and POOF burny/jumpy dance again. NAbbed a couple more kills and everyone ran back inside. I jumped down again and came back up, only a couple were foolish enough to try and take me on again, so I poofed them all again, and this time shotgunned the last 2 to death.
My team scored and I was a fething total badass

Sonic The Hedgehog: rolling down the first slope on the Green Hill zone and soaring through the air. My very first console experience.
Final Fantasy VII: reaching the world map and realising how much adventure is still ahead.
Shadow Of the Colossus: encountering the first of the giant golems.
Oblivion and Skyrim: escaping the first dungeon and seeing the lushness of Cyrodiil stretching into the distance; and the first day of Skyrim, seeing the clouds hugging the mountain sides.
