Im sure I read this somewhere on here but I cant seem to find it anymore so appologies if It has already been asked.
As you can upgrade a SM predator to have side sponsons, do they count as seperate weapons.
What would happen in the below examples.
1. If that predator suffers one weapon destroyed result, would that count as just one side sponson or both?
2. Can I choose to not move and fire both sponsons (at the same target obviously) rather than one and my turret mounted weapon)
If its an obvious answer please dont get hissy with me, just point me to the page and I will know for the future.

Yes, they are separate weapons.
1) one sponson
2) yes, i fyou dont move you can fire all weapons, unless you fire ORdnance OR are firing a leman russ with LB, in which case you dont count the turret weapon for working out what weapons you can fire

Ive just re-read that and im glad you pointed it out. I just assumed that it can only fire 1 weapon when moved 6" or 2 if it has not moved.
So now it would be.
2. Not move and fire both sponsons AND turret.

A vehicle which doesn't move can fire all weapons.
A vehicle which moves up to 6" can fire can fire 1 main weapon, and any number of defensive (S4 or less) weapons.
A vehicle which moves 6.000001"-12" can fire no weapons.
A Fast vehicle can fire as if it moved one category slower. So 6" and fire everything, 12" and fire one (+ Defensive).
If you fire Ordnance, you can't fire anything else. IG Leman Russes have a special rule, though, which allows them to fire other weapons ignoring the turret-mounted battlecannon.
If you have a machine spirit (Land Raider, Storm Raven, or a Black Templar vehicle which takes it as an upgrade) it can fire 1 more weapon than it normally would be able to, even if Shaken or Stunned or moving too fast (but not if it popped Smoke Launchers), and that weapon can shoot at a different target from any other weapons which are firing.

Theres now a new bracket to that list. The fliers released this month can fire everything at 12" as well as 6". How nifty is that? And unrelated to the topic

That'll be the "Ariel Assault" rule from Codex Dark Eldar then.
Nice to see other flyers getting it.

They're not really flyers, they're skimmers. People are calling them flyers because they're on the big oval flying base, because there's been a rumor about the "Summer of Flyers" for a while, and because some of the vehicles WERE flyers in their original Imperial Armour versions (like the Valkyrie).
The Dark Eldar Ravager (the heavy support gunship with three dark lances) has the Aerial Assault rule, allowing it to shoot all weapons while moving 12" . IIRC the Necron Night Scythe has the same rule, though it doesn't actually do anything because the vehicle only has one weapon anyway. Apparently some of these new skimmers have it too.
