Powerful Chaos Warrior

Ok so I have been building my WoC army and I want to add more specials to my army. I looked at the Ogres and well I could buy a box of Ogres from the Ogre kingdoms set and use them...but not sure if I want to go that route(they don't fit with the fluff of my Army). I already have a Chaos knights started and was looking at the chosen; my only dilemma is that I am not a huge fan of the pewter models and really prefer plastic. I had thought about buying some CSM and then buying more Chaos Knights and melding them into my own Chosen squads but well that would be pricey... has anyone heard any rumors about if GW is going to release the chosen as anything but pewter(and I am praying not fine cast)??

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

There is very little reason for GW to do Plastic Chosen. They are in all honesty just Chaos Warriors with some chaos swirling around them
You could attempt to use AoW "warcast" resin Warriors of Apocalypse. But they're not exactly the best In Stock items atm (probably not till July/August)
So your best bet is lots of conversion work. Extra parts from knights and etc, toss in some GS to finish it off

The chaos mutations sprue might be of use too.

Ahh yes, Spawn parts can really individualize warriors. Maybe even use some daemon or beast parts

My chosen are about half and half the metal chosen and regular Chaos Warriors that i've spruced up with Knight lances for Halbards.

I recommend the Halberd wielding models off of the Chariots. If you have any extras lying around-just to supplement the regular chosen. I have ten of the regular chosen though, and I happen to love the models. They weigh more than my car though.

Thanks for all the input I guess it's off to the design table and some gs and lots of bits and parts....well we shall see what comes out. Hopefully it will turn out...I had considered the forsaken route with mutation bits but not sure if I like them yet. You never know I just might end up buying the pewter ones just to have them...
