Hey all, we've got 6 friends wanting to do a fun and friendly 1 day tournament.

Does this seem like a fair and balanced set of rules?

1750 points, standard force organization. 3 Objective scenario giving 3 victory points for each uncontested objective. 2 victory points for killing the enemy leader. 1 victory point for each full 200 points eliminated.

Each person should be able to get 3 games in for a grand total of scores.

Does this seem fair and balanced? What do you recommend as a tie breakers if there's an exact tie?

Thanks for the input!

Tie Breakers could be TableQuarters, or for the 1 victory point do for every Killpoint instead then have actual VPs as tiebreaker.

Yeah for tiebrakers I would also count KP not completly fair but it works in a way. Or use the old VP method for the tie breakers. I think it was you elimante a 200pt squad you get 200pts.

It's worth pointing out that in this fomat there is absolutely no Kill Point scoring, which means that there is no disadvantage for MSU or loads and loads of mech.

Normally, KP act as a slight check against MSU

Concur. This setup strongly favors MSU armies.

What if, instead of "per objective" you went with just 3vps for controlling more objectives than your opponent, and in at least one of the scenarios instead of objectives, you got 3vps for scoring more KPs than the opponent?

Simple victory points do make a decent tiebreak; you could just have people count them in the last round, to keep it quick.
