HQ

Anrakyr
Obyron

Royal Court

3x Dest Tek 1x Pulse
1x Eternity Tek w/ Chrono
1x Despair Tex w/ Veil
3x Lords w/ Orb, Scythe, MSS

Troops

10x Immortals w/ Tesla (Dest Tek w/ Pulse, 1x Lord)

10x Pyrrhian's w/ Tesla (Dest Tek, 1x Lord, Despair Tek)

9x Warriors w/ Ark (Dest Tek)

Elites

5x Lychguard w/ Sword and Board (Obyron goes here w, Anrakyr & Chron Tek, and 1 Lord)

Fast

6x Wraiths w/ 3 Whip Coil, 2 Particle Caster

Heavy

2x Ani Barge w/ Gauss

Points Cost 2,047

Idea is to port Anrakyr where needed with Oby and his beefies to protect him, chron tek allows for reroll for either Mind in the Machine or Tach Arrow

Immortals Hang back for objectives and fire support

Phyrrians have ability to port where needed to chew up troops

Warriors in ark for objective camping with Ark for repair support

Wraiths for tarpitting -or- mutilating weak squads

I am more of a painter than player but all I would need to buy for this list is 1 more barges and a box of immortals to convert to despair teks. I am willing to shell out some dough if it will drastically improve the overall effectiveness of the list.

Hoping some battle tested Necron players can drop the bomb of wisdom on me Thanks

i would suggest swapping out both Barges for a Doom scythe. your list seemed to lack ranged shooting that can kill a land raider. your list would do much better with a doom scythe as half the enemies vehicles are dead 1st turn

Anrakyr is the only Overlord in your army (Obyron isn't an Overlord) so you can only have one royal court, it means you can only join one lord or one crytek to other units not multiple ones as with your Immortals, Phyrrians and Lynchguard.

Somewhere close to 25'000pts
I lost count a few years back.

Replacing anni barges for a single doom scythe is.....interesting. Doom scythes are only av11. They are really one shot wonders, much like D&D squads. Relying on them for AT is, imho, risky.

The points above are well made though. You do seem to lack AT, but also it's in the wrong place as tesla immortals are primarily anti infantry. You can do it, obviously, but you don't need to do it here.

I suggest that you might want to consider using 5 man warrior groups with lanceteks for your AT. Also, I suggest you drop an orb lord and get Anrakyr a CCB instead.

Obyron looks good, but he doesn't have an invulnerable save so he can die quickly vs power weapons. Care is required when assaulting with the lychguard unit.

What was the reason you went with such a powerful objective sitting unit in the immortals? You have a lot of points there, you may want them to be doing something more.

I suggest that you drop Obyron for an overlord, with scythe and MSS, and a phase shifter. This will make your crypteks allocation legal and give the overlord an invulnerable save.

You will need another veiltek, which you could get by reworking your troops choices.

Thanks for the advice MarkCron and Userarm.

I read the codex but havent played the game in such a long time. I didnt realize I had my court assignments all wrong.

I havent assembled the 3 boxes of immortals yet, would you suggest maybe doing the Pyrrhians as gauss for a little more AT? Not sure how well they perform vs tesla since I havent played lol.

I was thinking of buying the battleforce since it has the ark I need. That would also be 20 more warriors. Is the 10 I have enough if I split them into 2 squads of 5 with a lancetek?

Also as you mentioned the immortals are a little beefy for objective camping, would the 5 man squads of warriors fufil that roll instead?

Would the Obyron model be sufficient to use as an Overlord (as far as his equipment goes). That would be awesome if so, I already bought him.

My other question was if I should get Zhandrek or whatever his name is. I was just reading that Obyron comes with him without using an HQ slot and I think Zhandrek is an Overlord. If that is a good option what should I tweak to then make this list viable.

I greatly appreciate the help you guys, I know im going to be embarassed when I walk in to play a game and dont know anything anymore. Ill have to learn from scratch pretty much, but at least with your help my list wont look like a joke!

Cheers!

It takes a while of playing before you settle on which crypteks you like!

I wouldn't because then you need a phaeron for them to be able to shoot more than 12" if they move. I love Tesla.....getting more hits than dice you rolled is always good for a

You can use warrior legs and chests to make immortals. Then, from the three boxes of immortals, you make 15 Tesla immortals (with warrior legs and chests), 10 deathmarks, and 5 crypteks (with the 5 remaining deathmark heads).

FatBoy wrote:Also as you mentioned the immortals are a little beefy for objective camping, would the 5 man squads of warriors fufil that roll instead?

I often use 5 warriors with a lancetek as objective sitters. they work well as AT during the game. Problem is, if anything attacks them, well, they are dead. However, if the cryptek can get back up (because of everliving) he is now a scoring unit which helps!

FatBoy wrote:Would the Obyron model be sufficient to use as an Overlord (as far as his equipment goes). That would be awesome if so, I already bought him.

Sure. Also, if you buy anni barges, there is an overlord in the box as well as the barge.

You can take Zahndrek and Obyron as the pair, but I think Zahndrek will get limited use. He isn't a phaeron but does have an Orb. The main reason for Zahndrek is he can take away USR and separately give USR to your units. The main USR I find useful are Tank Hunters, Stealth, Furious Charge, Counterattack.

Because you already have anrakyr, your Eternals already have Furious Charge and CounterAttack. Tank Hunters would be useful for the warrior AT squads though. You might have to play this and see what works for you. Have a look at this list I posted, similar to yours.
