Libby + Mystic Squad will zip around in the storm raven, summoning stuff for fun + give psych support to dreadknights, pop vehicles, etc.

Dreadknights will all shunt forward, toast some infantry, then hook into some tanks and infantry.

Razorbacks will form up for multiple tank shock, dozer blade shenanigans, etc.

one of the things that 40k offers over most other minis games out there is an awesome, well-developed, rich history.

Quick question, why would you do this?

Surely Optimus should be a HQ Choice.

If you were going to name dreadknights after autobots then I would go with the larger ones

Ultra-magnus
Inferno (or ironhide both good)
warpath

Bumblebee was originally one of the smaller autobots so he doesnt really fit
another nice HQ might be Rodimus prime from the original movie (he could kick Optimus' ass anyday)

Powerglide was an a10 (i think) so he kinda has the feel for a stormraven.

it might be interesting to see an army like yours painted up

Cheers guys, I'll give it a shot!

I took Bumblebee (my fav), as he is the closest to normal Dreadknight size. Optimus and Ironhide are prob 30% bigger than bumblebee, which is a decent proportional representation.

I'm sure no opponent will complain about getting easy l.o.s!
They do fit nicely tho on the dreadknight base!

There is no HQ really that would be an appropriate representation or size for Optimus or any other Autobot.
He is leading from the Heavy Slot =D.

I love 40k and play a heap of Armies.
This is like Marvel vs DC.
The two never meet, but damn, you want to know who wins, or how they shape up against each other.

The Transformers ontology is rich with inter-dimensional space and time travel.

My Coteaz (Inquisitor Gideon Lorr ordo Xenos) discovers the Autobots through a warp rift (or similar). The Autobots strive to find their place in the world, as they always do. He'll prob try to manipulate them to his own devices (as inquisitors do) but they are infinitely wise and therefore unassailable.

I think the Dreadknight stats pretty well represent the proportionate power of an Autobot against other enemies (ideally they would be stronger, but thats the Space Marine vs Ork paradigm, needed to get them on the table).

It's a shame the Dreadknight load-out options are so poor- but they can go around punching vehicles and MC's (I10 support from Librarian combined with force weapon). The flamer does ok against stuff and the gatling psilencer is fairly fluffy for bumblebee.

Quick question- how would you feel playing this list, considering the transformers models (for the 3 dreadknights and stormraven), the list build and the intent?

Disregarding the names there's some pretty bad setups in this list.

The Dreadknights should all have incinerators and that's about it. All other weapons are pretty pants and the teleporter is too expensive. Plus, one with teleporter I thought would be the Fallen instead...

Not sure why you have stablisation field and summoning for, I cannot see a reason why you need to drag a Razorback over by the Librarian. They have 36" range so do not need to get close.

Also I am not sure what dozer blade shenanigans are? Also how do the Dreadknights become I10 with Librarian?

Yeh the dreadknights are pretty rubbish really! I have 2 packing incinerators, was willing to take a mild loss for bumblebee model to have the gatling psilencer (fluff points).
We agree that the ranged weapons are pretty sucky, I took the teleporters so they could all 30" shunt to be in combat turn 2. After that they can jump around and combat things at will, rather than slow walking.
1 shunting won't be enough and would just get vaporized alone. 3 is a much tougher threat.
Only spent 25 pts on warp stabilizers. Basically late game, librarian can summon a razorback from anywhere on the field, dump it with "6 of him no scatter (because of the mystic), he could then turbo-boost to another objective, if the storm raven is still kicking that is.
Librarian has a pretty cool power, quicksilver. nominates a nearby unit in movement phase, makes them i10 for the rest of the turn, could throw in might of titan for bonus d6 armour pen if needed (making them s10 3d6 armor pen... lolz)
