Hey, I'm thinking of starting a Necron army but have no idea what kind of tomb world I should go for. Ive seen some cool lava and swamp bases but like the idea of a Jungle tomb world, Sort of like the planet has overgrown and there's vines growing on everything ect. As far as painting my army I'm thinking of going along the lines of a traditional kind of paint job on my models but with white shoulder pads, heads, not completely sure yet. So, if anyone else has a Necron army and/or has cool ideas for a tomb world or some links to other peoples I'd like to see them!

I just got Necrons a month or so ago and slowly putting it together. I am in the same boat, not sure how to make them.

I am thinking of doing them where some like to become flesh again, but don't feel like doing a whole Tomb World on that, so will make a sqaud or so who like to be flesh.

For me, it will be like my Tyranids, different colour schemes since I can never make up my mind. So for me it will be a Tomb World where they find/conquer new Necrons and can't afford to be taken apart and be made new again, so some squads will have different colour schemes so when I paint them, will not be bored doing the same scheme over and over and over again.

Other than that, I am at a loss. I like the Jungle tomb world idea so try going for that.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

You realize that all Necrons want to be flesh again, but can't right? It'd be odd to see Necrons who are made of flesh since none of them are. Even Flayed ones just pile meat onto themselves.

Wrong.
The codex was careful to make the overall goals of the necrons ambiguous; some dynasties want to see the triarch restored and a return to their organic forms, some want to kill/mechanize all organic life, and some want to restore the C'tan to their former glory.

Now OT...A jungle themed tomb worlds would be interesting. You could model things like dirt and moss on them.

Slowly putting my Necrons together. I liked the idea of a tomb in the middle of a forest and used the terrorcons from Transformers Prime for painting inspiration.

Space Marines, Orks, Imperial Guard, Chaos, Tau, Necrons, Germans (LW), Protectorate of Menoth
