Alright folks finished my German Fallschirmjager list finally so I thought I'd post it and get some feed back. I'm still really new to FoW and this is also my first full army... Fire away!

HQ:
Fallschirmjagerkompanie HQ 105
[*] 2x Panzerfausts
[*] AT section (Panzerschrek)

CBT:
Fallschirmjager Platoon 3x Squads 275
[*]Panzerfaust

Fallschirmjager Platoon 3x Squads 275
[*]Panzerfaust

WPN:
Fallschirmjager Machine-gun Platoon 2x Sections (4 HMGs) 155
[*]Panzerknacker

Fallschirmjager Light Gun Platoon 2x Sections (2 Guns) 60
[*]Panzerknacker

REG SPT:
Fallschirmjager Anti-tank Gun Platoon (PAK40) 2x Section (4 Guns) 245
[*] Kfz15 field car; 3-ton Trucks

DIV SPT:
Heer StuG Platoon 2x StuG G; 1 StuH42 285

Fallschirmjager Artillery Battery (10.5 leFH18) 4x Guns 235
[*] Kfz15 field car; Kfz 68 radio truck; 3-ton Trucks

Heer Anti-Aircraft Platoon (3.7 Armored Sd Kfz 7/2) 2x Tracks 110

Total 1745

7/8 platoons depending on the HMG attachment or not. I figure that will be situation dependent.

Looks pretty good for a first list IMO. Far better than my first one did anyway. I'll offer my humble opinion though I'm not expert on infantry, let alone Fallschirmjager. I'd switch out the 10.5cm guns and infantry guns to expand your armored support a bit more, as well as switch the 3.7 flak for the quad 2cm.

This list summarizes the changes I personally would make.

Fallschirmjager Kompanie HQ w. 2 faust HQ teams and AT section - 105

Fallschirmjager Platoon w. 3 squads and faust - 275
Fallschirmjager Platoon w. 3 squads and faust - 275

Fallschirmjager HMG squad w. 2 section - 150
Fallschirmjager AT Squad w. 4 Pak40's and trucks - 245
Panzer Platoon w. 5 Panzer IV H - 450
Rocket Launcher Battery w. 4 NW41 and halftracks - 150
AA Gun Platoon w. 2 armored Sdkfz 7/1 Quad 2cm - 100

Total 1750pts

Again, I'm no expert on infantry (I can throw together a decent armor list though) so I may be way off base. Take from this what you will

Good luck with FoW!

Just my 2 cents

I like the original list better. Elite infantry lists such as FJ can function well with only limited armour support, My Finns have a grand total of 3 T26s in late war.

If you play against tankovy hordes you will get smacked around but against most others you will stand a decent chance.

If you have finished its not really worth suggesting some changes but if you do want to change your list in the future the first thing that I would suggest is mortars. You are sorely lacking smoke bombardments at the moment, only your artillery can provide one. The HQ stummelwerfers or a short mortar platoon is all that you will need.

You may also want to think about changing the artillery for heavy mortars. They are both cheaper and more effective than 10.5 leFH18s.

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

I am looking at the 105mm mortars for the Germans, and wondering how they are more effective? Also I don't have much in the way of smoke because I haven't really been taught about it nor seen it much. It could be because most guys where I play run Armor or Mechanized.

Have a look here http://www.wwpd.net/2012/05/template-weapon-mathemagic.html. Its a spreadsheet that gives the likelyhood of an artillery kill on various targets. 12.5cm mortars are only slightly more likely to kill armour but significantly more likely to kill infantry/gun teams than 10.5leFH18s, they do miss out on a staff team and direct fire ability but thats a small price to pay. Take the 12.5 upgrade as its quite cheap and the 3+ firepower is great.

Smoke is very useful for setting up assaults and neutralising dangerous enemy units like Tigers, high end AT guns etc. Smoke is cheap (the HQ stummelwerfers cost 50 points) but it acts as a good force multiplier.

Personally I would take both the HQ mortars and an understrength mortar platoon.

Its good to see another FJ player new to FoW. I just started playing about a month ago. My list is 1500 and I went with Western Front cause my main opponent plays Americans. Its still very similar to yours:

1. Company HQ anti tank +30 mortar section two mortars +50 135pts

Combat Platoons-

1. Fallschirjager Platoon 3 squads Panzerfaust +10 275 pts
2. Fallschirjager Platoon 3 squads Panzerfaust +10 275 pts

Division Platoon

1. Fallschirmpionier Platoon 3 squads 345 pts
2. Fallschirjager Anti tank Platoon 3 squads 7.5cm PAK40 180 pts
3. Stu G Platoon 3 Stug G 285 pts

(point costs are the Western Front FJ list)

I went with the mortars in the HQ for cheap smoke. 2 mortars isnt gonna be much firepower but the smoke can maybe hold off a enemy unit from blasting me for a bit. The PAK40s are killers and the Stu G are reliable. The pioneers get flamethrowers. So, these three help vs the enemy armor.

I would double check the Stu G platoon in your list. You may have the option to upgrade to the Stu 42(?) which has smoke and a nasty special attack shot against bunkers. You could get smoke that way. The upgrade may only be like +15 points per tank.

I think my jump to 1750 is gonna add some HMG squads and artillary/mortars/rockets. So, yeah our lists are similar.

I have the StuH42 in the platoon, it was free switch but you are only allowed one. That breakthrough gun makes most infantry teams drop a goose when they realize there is no save. The smoke from it though is only a 2in diameter I thought?

As for the mortars I might look at picking up a few stumps and bouncing them around as my infantry prep for assaults and such.
