Greetings all,

I don't really post much in this area because I'm not a terribly good painter, and I'm painfully slow to boot.

However, I just finished my Imperial Navy Fleet, or at least the first part of it before I order more ships. I figured I'd show it to you all and maybe get some feedback. I was aiming for a basic tabletop standard, and I think I accomplished that. Feedback, comments, critique is not only welcomed, but encouraged.

You will also find further down the list of images, some models Mrs. Blacksails painted up. There is a Lord Commissar and Priest she painted for my Guard, and a Farseer for her Eldar army.

Finally, at the very bottom, there will be some images of two paint schemes for my Guard. I'd appreciate it if anyone could offer which one they prefer as I'm torn myself.

Thanks in advance, enjoy the pics; there's A LOT of them!

Pics are also in my gallery.

And now for the pics of the models Mrs. Blacksails painted up.

Finally, colour scheme choices. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Well that's all folks. Hopefully that wasn't too many pics. Hope you enjoyed them all!

It is always nice to see ships from the Gothic range - a great game! Your fleet is very nice - simple and clean, as all Imperial fleets schemes should be. It looks like you need to touch up some of the bases where they attach to the ships (your drybrushing has hit them).

Nice work by Mrs. Blacksails - just finish those bases!

Regarding the Iron Guard, I prefer the scheme on the left. That color combo is much more unique than the Red/Black (or is it Red/Blue) of the officer.

Thanks for the kind words.

I bug her about the bases, but she still hasn't figured out what to with them. She might go the resin route, but she's waiting to paint up the rest of here army first.

As for my work, the BFG flight stands are expendable for me. I'll likely be removing them, re-drilling new holes, magnetizing them, and buying some sexy Warmill jeweled bases with aquilas or similar.

For the Guard, I'm leaning towards the white/brown as well, seeing as red/black is done everywhere.

Indeed. I sadly haven't had the chance to play much BFG, but I love the models. I have an Eldar fleet for the Mrs. to paint up, and a Chaos fleet I plan on doing in Slaaneshi colours.

Thanks!

I really like the BFG ships, they look impressive together as a fleet! Mrs Blacksail's minis look good too, the Farseer is my favourite one of the three and I like the guardsman in the white uniform.

the IN stuff looks really cool and crisp, the farseer is also a stand out of a nice line up of the 28mm minis

Thank you! That's all I was aiming for with the ships. I'm not a particularly good painter, but the ships lend themselves well to drybrushing and washing. I'm also starting to really prefer the white uniform with the tan pants. And I'll make sure I pass on the compliment to her!

Appreciated! I like the way it turned out. Looks good on a table and as a cohesive mass. The farseer is indeed the nicest of them. She has a unit of Swooping Hawks all painted up, and her Exarch is really well done. I'll try and get some pics later.

It is very good to see that people are still playing BFG!
