HQ
IMO...da boss
Orikan
Royal Court
Chronotek
Lord w/ scythe, res orb
Elite
C'tan shard w/ writhing worldscape, swarm of spirit dust
Fast Attack
3x 6 wraiths w/ 6 coils,6 particle casters, 6 regular
Heavy Support
Monolith(ya I said it a monolith in a competitive list) C'tan hides behind lith posing as a counter attack unit
Troops
5 warriors
5 warriors
13 warriors(lord and orikan go here) or sometimes Orikan will go with Imo's immortals...depending on opponent
8 immortals(generally Imo will go here making them relentless) but again sometimes we will double up with orikan and the large warrior blob and make them relentless) then giving the lord to the immortals
That is it in a nutshell...tactics include castling everyone including the wraiths if the army is slow and can not counter nightfight...If I think I have to get a jump on the opponent then at least 12 wraiths will charge directly at them, leaving 6 to counter attack...then the second wave is c'tan, imo and friends, orikan and friends...leaving the grot squads to hide behind the lith on objectives...
I think one can not underestimate the Monolith enough for its ability to pull units through it...if wraiths get out of position due to slaying their enemy then they just get pulled back through to what should be the center of the board...it can be used to save units from impending charges that are unfavorable...and might draw fire from the wraiths...
In dawn of war mech armies get hosed as their tanks, if they DOW reserve them will wreck off of the table 33% of the time if I get first turn...which should be 75% of the time, approx...
Feel free to rip it up!!!...my other version has only 12 wraiths and 8 scarabs with 2 spyders(gloom)...which does well to counter null zone and other wraith inhibiting elements...thanks for your criticisms in advance...
